For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 163 and 164
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

I received our son's call (2nd) last Saturday, 3-22-14. It was not long since he wanted to call his girlfriend but he sounded good and said BC wasn't bad at all. We received his 1st letter on Wed., 3-25-14. I thought the 3rd call comes after they pass battle stations and letting us know they are sailors. Does that sound right?

wifeofasailor1 - A good friend's son graduated boot camp around Thanksgiving 2013. After graduation they went back to the hotel with their SR and all hung out for the afternoon together so they could have some personal family time together. I think we are going to do something like that too since I will have my other kids with me and my parents. Those in our family who will not be at the graduation ceremony will be watching it from my lap top in the hotel It appears we don't have too much time to spend with them before they head out for A school. I can't wait to see my son and have all of us together again even if it is just for a few short hours.

Received a letter from my SR and he said that this division may get pushed back a week because of the younger guys are childish and play around alot so the RDC said if they dont step theyre game up they will get pushed back!! I hope this doesnt happen!!!!

Wifeofasailor1- I am so sorry to here that div. 164 may get pushed back. My son told me a few of the earlier phone calls that some of the kids are having a hard time keeping their mouths shut when needed and that they are always doing push ups. I wonder if that is why I did not get a phone call over the weekend. My son is not much of a letter writer, but I hope he sends me one this week to give me an update. I would really be disappointed if the whole division is unable to graduate on time because a few of them can't pull it together as a team.

Just to let you know, divisions do not get pushed back, individuals might, but not an entire division. RDCs use that "threat" a lot, and many divisions hear that, but it just doesn't happen. The RDCs hope that the ones who aren't following start to follow, and the ones who are following start helping to motivate those that aren't. Team work is what it is all about!! They are very close to the time when they all figure it out. :)

That's good to know. My son had told us in a letter that there are some who talk too much when they should be listening. He also said that one even told a PO to "shut up". I would hope that the actions of a few wouldn't keep those who are doing as they're supposed to do from graduating on time. Hopefully those who are causing the issues will recognize they have to work as a team in order to get things done. I'm praying for them all!
