Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 313 and 314
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!
I can't wait for the call either. I sure hope these next 6 days fly by:)
My SR is Ship 13 Div 314 and my last letter was Friday. Hopeful for a phone call saying BS 21 is over and I have a sailor in the next two days. Then to A school in Pensacola.
I agree. I think my son ran out of stamps too. The last letter I got was on Monday, still waiting patiently for a phone call :) (well somewhat patiently lol)..Hopefully today or tomorrow we will get the call.
My family and I flew to O'Hare on Thursday morning. We met Sarge and he took care our transportation during our stay. He is the kind of person that is easy to talk to and you feel like you've known him your entire life. The meet and greet was terrific. We had a great evening. I couldn't wait to see my son in his uniform. I had tears in my eyes as soon as they announced division 314. He looked terrific and most of all, he was happy. We enjoyed our day with him and were able to spend several hours with him at O'Hare today. Our flights were scheduled about a half hour apart (his left on time; our delayed one hour). Of course I cried again when he boarded his flight. The good part is now he has his cell phone. He promised to call when he gets settled in at the base in Groton, CT. We live on Long Island so we will probably get to visit him on weekends. I hope that everyone had a great time with their sailor and returned home safely.
