Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 015 & 016.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Still waiting to hear my sons voice!!! I'm trying to stay upbeat... But man it'd be nice to hear it!!! I've received 2 letters and he really hasn't said anything other than he misses me and that his division hasn't been working very well together as a team. So hopefully they've gotten that figured out by now!! I live for Wednesdays as that seems to be the day I get my letters!!!! Man Nov 21st can't get here soon enough!!! Thank you to everyone that's sharing the stories, makes me feel closer to my son!! Glad to hear so many are getting letters and phone calls. I know it helps us all with this!!! Can't wait to meet everyone at Sarges meet and greet!!! Go Navy!!!

Amy Cusick-Spears I am sorry that you have not heard from your SR.  My SR is with your SR and he called me around 6:30 pm there time on Friday. He sounded good, told me about the chicken pox outbreak.  I asked him about his wisdom teeth, and he said it was not that bad.  I will pray and keep my fingers crossed that he calls you this next week.  Are you going to Sarges meet and greet?  Where are you staying?

Thanks. :). Glad you've heard from yours... It's nice just to read about everyone's conversations and letters and such.... Especially those within the same division. Helps me make it through. I know he's called his dad, just wish he'd call me!!! I am intending on going though I'll probably be a bit late. I'm picking up my mother from the airport in STL at 10am then will be driving in!!! Just hope the weathers still good. :). I am staying at the holiday inn express... Have a room through Sunday just in case he gets the weekend off!!! Keep posting away... It's comforting to hear they're all doing well. :)

I found this place a little closer to base, check out the website under Holiday Chicago IL, the price is 40.00 a person, however some of the proceeds go to the food bank!  Win win!  Looks like a nice place also to relax and enjoy a meal with you sailor!
