Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 029 and 030

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

DIV 029 will be getting letters this Friday from a bunch of kindergartners who wrote to them as part of their Thanksgiving project...so cute

Hey everyone , I have a question about the gate password? I'm pretty positive I won't be hearing from my boyfriend again until P.I.R and he never sent me the password, is there another way of me getting it?

That is so awesome that the kindergarteners wrote them! I just got a letter today from my son and he said that Div 029 is currently the highest ranked division and if they keep it up they will be the Hall of Fame Division! He also said that they are doing so well that they were promised a day in "Recruit Heaven" where they can go to a place that has Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Burger King, TV, phones and junk food! How awesome is that!!!

So should we be getting our call Monday or Tuesday (on our way to PIR).

Way awesome -- sounds like they've earned every chit they get!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son said that they probably can call when they get their Recruit Heaven day which may be this weekend, if not Monday or Tuesday they will get a call for sure.

I got a call from my son tonight (div 029) while he was in "Recruit Heaven" this afternoon, They had pool tables and got to choose from eating Taco Bell, Pizza Hut or Subway. He said they start Battle Stations tomorrow and said that their Division is still doing great. So excited that we get to see them all on Wednesday! Only a few more days!

New to sight.  FINALLY figured out how to post. Son is Ship 13 Div 29 going to Corpsman A School in Texas.  We are from California coming to Illinois on Tuesday for Wed PIR.   We finally got a snafu cleared up with my background check and are staying at the hotel on site.  Is that the one everyone refers to as the Navy Lodge?  I am stressing out big time trying to figure out dinner reservation info for Thursday.  Husband has been (thankfully) handling all of our arrangements but when I asked him this morning what we are doing for Thursday dinner this morning he said "I don't know. We'll just figure something out when we get there."  Um, honey....I don't think that's a good idea....IT'S THANKSGIVING DAY!!!!  Ugggggh.   Stress level that was already way high just shot through the roof.  On verge of tears.   Can't navigate this site worth beans.  Don't even know if I'm posting this in the right place.

Yep DrDsMom you are in the right place! Welcome!!!! Better late than never!

Thank you JAD.  I am finally navigating this site a little better.  Had some attitude adjustment in the form of Baileys, motrin, and a bath.  Had a bad case of information overload and couldn't wrap my head around any of it.

We are staying at the Ramada Inn. We are trying to figure out where to eat for Thanksgiving too. Does anyone know if they will have liberty on Thanksgiving Day? When I talked to my son yesterday he said he was not sure yet. He flies to Virginia for A school Friday at 3am.

Hi All,

I joined the site about a week ago, but first time I have posted anything.  Our son is in Div 30.  I'm anxious to hear from him.  He will be heading off to Corpsman A School in Texas.  But we don't know when yet.

DrDsMom - We are also from California (Bay Area), leaving early Tues morning and staying on base at the Navy Gateway.  We haven't figured out any Thanksgiving plans yet either since we don't know what hours our son will have for liberty on Thursday.  Hoping he will know when we hear from him.  If anyone knows any info for Div 30 would appreciate hearing.
