Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 033 & 034

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello Dianeproudmom & Welcome!

Good Morning All!! Wishing many, many letters for everyone & maybe a phone call, too. :)

BradMom - Just got my call!!! I am so excited.  Sounds great, has been getting my letters.  This is the best gift ever.  Never thought a call could mean so much.  Hope everyone gets a call soon.

hooray BradMom!! Any news you would like to share?  :)

Just got my call, SR sounds great, says letters help.  I'm so excited

Sweet! I am hoping then to possibly get a call today too. Congrats on yours! If they are in the same division, I would assume they would getting calling rights on the same day. We will see. How long was your phone call?

Hey, he was calling for info for his security check, but he did say I talk to you Thursday.  I think they maybe getting to call for Thanksgiving. So I am going to keep my phone handy. I said its getting better and he sounded very upbeat.  Told me to look for his letters and that he was receiving my letters and that letters help.  So keep writing.

OMGosh! I am in Shock! Not one, 2, or 3…but 4 LETTERS!!

Quotes from his letters:

  • Div leaders are very strict but have also shown a good side to everyone when we follow instructions.
  • One Chief is a short male. The other is a short woman with a temper as short as she is tall.
  • Been trying to keep off the radar, but it’s kind of hard to since they make sure to pick on all Recruits.
  • Been having lots of IT. Div stinks at keeping quiet when they’re suppose to and a lot of them are horrible marchers.
  • Got all 4 wisdom teeth pulled, so 2 days SIQ & 1 day LLD. Being SIQ kind of sucks, because all we do is lay in bed, study and sleep.
  • My job in the Div is “Iron PO”. (I will have to get more info from him on that!)
  • Tried to get into the 900 Div, but they didn’t need any more trumpet players.
  • The food in the Galley is pretty good, but nothing compares to home cooking.

The letters didn’t sound down, but not really up either. Just an even keel, which is pretty typical for him. I just can’t believe he actually sent letters! *Doin’ the letter dance* :)

Hi Jeri, I got a letter too. Said he's the athletic PO. He thinks there division sucks, but that's probably cuz it's only week 2. And he misses me! How cool is that!?!!

Hooray for a letter!! Yeah, sound like some are having a difficult time getting "the message". It will happen, sooner or later...they will become a team.

Cool beans on your SR missing you. And being the Athletic PO. You'll need to find out what his job entails.

So happy for you MommaJeri. Our sons are in the same ship and division.  I have gotten 1 letter so far and the call yesterday, for more info. He did kinda slip talk to Thursday, I'm assuming he means Thanksgiving. So have your phone handy. He did ask if I had gotten his letters so I'm looking for them, and he said their mail goes out on Sundays. So glad to hear they are together.  Hope to see you at PIR, I am driving up there on Wednesday night from Georgia.

Thanks BradMom! Yep, phone is always in my pocket. We will leave early Thursday Morning as it is only an 8 hour drive for us. Yep, hope to see you at PIR, too. :)
