Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 013 & 014!

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I just got my form letter Friday.  My son is on Ship 14 Div 13.  He wrote down a PIR date of Friday, November 23.  I saw on the upcoming graduations that they have Wednesday, November 21 for PIR, is that correct?

Yes,PIR will be Wednesday 21 not friday 23.

Welcome,  My daughter is also in the same division.

Yay!  I found the right group!  Finally!  My daughter had also listed Friday the 24 as the PIR date and I was so confused!  Looks like I am on the right track now.  So should we be making travel arrangments already?  Or do we wait a little while?

Sarah, my flight is all ready booked.  Leaving out of Houston, TX.  I chose to book with Southwest, they don't charge to change dates, only if there is a fare difference on dates of travel.   I originally booked for PIR 11-16-12, a little premature, so when I got form letter and saw PIR 11-21-12 I promtly changed dates for flights, and it was $260 difference (total for 4 people) because we then were traveling during Thanksgiving Holiday time.  I booked our reservation at Navy Lodge, $66 night, 2 queen beds with a kitchen...approximately 1 mile from RTC.  Can't beat that.  Car rentals are up for that week as well, I got a mid-sized car reserved with Dollar Rental from Midway Airport for $51.96 a day and unlimited milage. Hope this helps you.

Is Midway Milwakee? I am so glad i look on this site tonight i was thinking about waiting, but after your post i am going to book my flight and hotel How much was your flight?southwest quoted me 365,00 round trip..

No.  Midway is in Chicago

Hi I got my form letter and my son is in ship 14, div 014.  when do you think i can expect a real letter?  i thought they had free time on Sundays.

Same here.  Generic letter and no phone call home yet.

Is it correct that graduation is Nov 23 ?  The flights from Seattle are getting full.

Hi everyone!

My husband is in ship 14 div 13, just want to say hi, I'm loving this site its been very helpful so far.. Still waiting for a real letter!

Hi mglivelife, my son is also in Ship 014 Div 013.  Have not had a call yet, but hopefully soon.  In his last letter that I got Thursday (Oct. 18) he said things were starting to go better for his Division.  Said he was actually starting to have some fun.  I was relieved to hear that, of course.  We can't go to the meet and greet, our flight will get in too late for that to be possible, but we are looking forward to seeing PIR!!!
