Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 061 and 062

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Any body received letter my daughter is ship 14 division 61
pam . . .I know how you feel to miss a call from your SR! I missed the "I'm here . . ." call from when they first arrived at the RTC and I had told my daughter I would stay up until she called. I fell asleep and her call went to voice mail before I could answer the phone . . I felt terrible!

I am so hoping to get a call this weekend and worry about missing it . . .it only takes a minute to miss it! Trying to keep the cell phone in the pocket always!

Have you been writing to your son? Have you received a letter from him? My daughter is in div 62 and I'm still waiting to hear from her!

We finally received a letter yesterday also! Thank goodness! Now just hoping for a phone call next!

I spoke with my SR Saturday and he said he was sending mail on Sunday. Weill nothing. I heard the RDC's are withholding mail privileges and I'm worried that's the case for my SR. I'm pretty bummed out about it, but keep reminding myself only 5 weeks left until we are reunited!
SailorsWife0721. . . It is hard not hearing from my daughter, but I do think it would be worst if it was my husband! When my daughter was home, she was always out with friends and I felt like we hardly saw each other . . .but my husband is my best friend and always with me! Stay strong as the days are ticking away until you'll see him. It is awesome that you got to talk to him on Saturday. My daughter wrote that they are keeping them very busy pushing them through so they can graduate on Jan 17th. . .which is great because they have only been in "boot camp" since Dec 3rd! If you don't get a letter this week, it may be because he used the time to call you. (Sounds good anyway!). And you could still get a letter tomorrow!

My daughter actually sent me 4 letters in one envelope. The first two were longer and written while still in P-days. The last two were from Dec. 6 &7 and very short as if she didn't have time to write much. She had watch on Sunday which is why she couldn't call and may be why her letter was only a couple sentences. They should have another chance to write this Sunday . . .lets hope so!
Anybody gotten any phone calls this weekend? And as much as I'm happy for everyone else receiving calls does it seem like our SR's have been gone longer and we haven't heard from them??
I think I saw some from 910 got phone calls.
Nadia . . .I'm feeling the same way! My daughter wrote in her letter that their div went to the Exchange last Sunday and they were allowed to call home. My daughter had watch and didn't get to go or use the phone.

I'm glad for those that have heard from their SRs, but I'm feeling over due for a phone call too! My daughter wrote that their div has received IT several times because of girls talking when they shouldn't and for not following directions correctly . . . I wonder if that has anything to do with phone privileges! I can't even imagine a room full of girls and all of them quiet with no talking . . .that seems next to impossible! We may never get a phone call! LOL
Nadia, I'm with you. Still no call from my daughter. Really had our hopes up today!!!! Maybe there is still time. Just want to cry!
I feel the same way DanaD. I really didn't think it would be over a month before I got my first call from my SR :(
PoodleLady I completely agree if we have to wait for a group of 43 girls to be quiet we may never hear from them :(
After exactly 4 weeks I finally got a phone call from my daughter. Division 62 moms keep your phones close they are calling right now!!!
