Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 145 and 146
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!

My SR is in Ship 14 Div 145. She arrived at RTC on Feb. 19th. Today marks 2 weeks ago that she left...seems like an eternity but I'm glad that it is one day closer to
when I get to see her again. I send her a letter everyday and am hoping that one day I will get one back from her just to "see" her voice. On Saturday when I received her call she did tell me that the guys and gals in her Div. all seem pretty cool and that she has gotten along well with some of the other girls there. I told her that these girls are now her sisters and they gotta be there for each other. All of us moms out here are connecting thru this wonderful website and I am so thankful for it.

Well said! When my son called Saturday he was pretty darn homesick! I canNOT wait for 4/18!

I thought that once I got to talk to my son I would feel better but instead I'm more worried because he sounded so bad and was so homesick. I have written him I don't even know how many letters and rallied as many family members and friends to write him too. I hope that helps alleviate at least some of his homesickness. But 4/18 cannot get here soon enough!

Anita - My son has 2 friends who have been in for several years. I texted them right away after talking to my son. My son was in tears - very homesick!!! He's never been away from home. He said he had blisters and was miserable and it was reallt rough. What his Navy friends told me is that they both felt the exact same way at this point. That their calls home were the same. One of them assured me that by the time they complete battlestations they will have bonded and work as a team and felt more success then feeling like they are always screwing up. They are torn down in these first couple weeks to be built back up. I was also encouraged to know that they are all miserable together. It's not like your son or my son are the only ones not coping. Remember - adversity builds character. :) They should have been able to write for the first time on Sunday so hopfully latters will come soon!

You are exactly right, and thank you for the reminder. My son sounded so sad too when he called this past weekend. My husband also reminded me that this is all done by design. They need to break you down to build you back up, and at the end of boot camp, they will see why things were done the way they were. Getting there....today's already the 11th. Only a little more than a month away, then it's PIR day. I pray daily for their strength and perseverance.

Just stopped in to say Hi. My daughter is Ship 14 div 146 and I cant wait to hug her on 4/18. I will be going to PIR so if there is anyone here who can't make it but would like me to bring anything for their recruit (cell phone, etc) let me know. I would be happy to help.

To all the moms and dads of Ship 14 Div 145, I have heard nothing but good things about your sons and daughters in the letters that I have received from my daughter in the same division. It comforts me to know that she is surrounded by good people and that they are getting along and becoming Navy brother and sisters. She says to keep sending mail because they all look forward to getting letters of encouragement and all of their faces light up with smiles. Let's keep praying for their continued strength and courage to make it thru these next few weeks...6 more Fridays till we see our Sailors!!

That's awesome. My son has said that it is a pretty good group and that they have been told that they have one the ,if not the,best rdc's there!! I have received 2 letters and 3 phone calls so far. Last phone call yesterday was short and sweet though. He was frustrated that some of the sr's were just not getting it and it was pissing off the rdc. Anyway only 5 Fridays left till we see them. Keep checking for the picture on the us navy recruit Facebook page.

I too received a short phone call yesterday. A whole 2 minutes! (for a total of 3 calls so far) I felt like there was something my SR wanted to tell me...a mother's heart knows. When she was telling me that she had to go i could hear her voice choking up with tears and then it was a very abrupt good-bye. To say the least, my soul has been unsettled since but I am praying to God that he watch over her (and all the SRs) and give her the wind beneath her wings that she needs to keep going.
Yes! i am so looking forward to seeing the picture on fb.

My son sounded no better on Thursday and said if he could come home he would. Said he hates it there. I can't wait for him to adjust and call with a good report. I want this knot in my stomach to go away. My husband and I continue to hold all of the SR's up in prayer!
