Hi all!  This is a discussion I've started for the families with recruits in Ship 2, Div 952.  Of course anyone can join, but this will help those of us in this specific group get to know each other.

Got a letter today ladies!!!! It was dated October 18 - Week 4 Day 1. It was "hell week" with lots of inspections, Marlinspike and Live Fire on Thursday. He said he was going for the "expert ribbon". He didn't have news on when BS21 is yet, maybe soon.

He said to make sure we sit on the second floor in the balcony. Apparently after the Honor Guard performs they get to sit with their families as long as they are on the 2nd floor.....

And BEST of all - he said the RDC's told them their Division Flag is the BEST they've seen for 10 Divisions.

HOOYAH 952!!!!
Thanks Diana!! I knew they had practiced on the Marlinspike, but I didn't know the gas chamber is this Friday. I might light a candle for that too. So glad to know they are working as a team. Reading some of the stories makes me worry, but hearing from someone else that they are doing well just makes me feel so relieved!! HOOYAH on the flag too!!!
Thanks for all the info ladies. I have not heard from my son in a while. I guess he is being kept busy with all the tests and inspections. Glad to hear the BS21 is early in the week. They maybe will not be so tired for PIR. Can't wait to see him. His GF says he has gained a little weight and is building muscle.
Mom from St Pete -- where did you see BS21 is early in the week? I haven't heard anything yet....
My son Nick is in Div 952 Ship 02. I have not heard from him in a while. My neice got a letter from him yesterday said he had been sick and might not grad on time. Should I get a phone call telling me that or how can I find out for sure?
Diania just heard some one say previous dates were.... So maybe this is not for sure. One of us needs to get the information from our son or husband in DIV 952 written in letter. Maybe a letter Friday. Wow we only have 15 days to go!!!!!
Actually I do remember someone saying that the 800 and 900 divisions usually go on the Sunday. But you are right we need to get our guys to let us know!!!! AGGHH!!! I can't wait to meet you all!
HOOYAH 952!!!! Thanks for the GREAT update!!!! I knew our guys were bonding well but to hear they have all the Flags and are independent - whatever that means :-) - is great!

Now if we could just figure out what day BS21 is.... :-)

HOOYAH!!!!!
So happy for 952. I wish my son would tell me these things. Glad I was told about this site. Better late than never right?
I'm glad you found the site as well! What is your son going to be doing after GL and do you know where he will be going for school? My son is CTR and will be going to Pensacola.....
As far as I know he will be staying in GL for MM school and then on to Sub school. But like I said he has not said much.
What's MM School?
