Yes this Sunday, Nov.7th
Great idea!
what blue candle?
it's tradition to light a blue candle the night of Battlestations. I heard it started a long time ago, when sailor's wives would light a candle when their husband's left and kept it burning until they returned.
Oh, so any blue candle will work. I thought it hasd to be a special candle. Tomorrow I will go buy one and light it Sunday at 7!
That's perfect!
Diana- Do we get our Sailor call on Sunday or Monday?? Is it in the afternoon or latter in the day??? Son's GF is at school till 2:00PM and I am at work till 4 PM on Monday. If the call will come on Monday I will definitely pick up if he calls me. I do believe he will call her..... I will tell her to then call me...
IF - and it's still an IF as far as I know....BS21 is Sunday night we should get the call on Monday. From what I understand they come as early as 1pm GL time (2pm Eastern) and can go until the evening....Now if it is Tuesday, we'll get the calls on Weds..... I haven't read the other posts yet to see if the date has truly been confirmed.....so I apologize if I'm being confusing.
I JUIST GOT A PHONE CALL!!!! First time I got to talk to him since he left. He said they are close to making Hall of Fame they are doing so well!

He said BS is Tuesday night and he will call me on Wednesday.

Said they are all going to be working together because if a guy around you falls asleep, you also fail. (if they fall asleep they fail - and will be up around 40+ hours). So the division is learning to work together and look after each other!
I TOO RECEIVED A CALL FROM MY HUSBAND!!!! So excited to hear that they did win the 1.5 run at Captain's Cup--and that was really all the Chief wanted them to win. DIv 952 got 2nd place. Chief told them he was really proud.

They got to call home cause there was a long line to get food at "RDC Heaven" (Taco Bell, pizza hut etc)--so to kill time they could call home. My husband said that they need his whole div needs to pass BS21 in order to get Hall of Fame. He said they've been working hard with damage control and learning all they need to pass BS21. He did also say that BS21 is TUESDAY night.

We got to talk for 53 min. LOL.. We even talked over each other cause there was so much to say! Of course I told him that his Div would do awesome and pass BS21!!

Can't wait for 11/12!!!
I heard from my son too! He said he was scared because they were getting to eat real food AND to make calls! LOL He called his GF first, ate taco bell and then called me... I was getting a little down after his GF called and said he called her, didn't think he'd have a chance to call me -they talked for 45 minutes. So guess how EXCITED I was when my phone rang. I really needed that call!

He also told me that "technically" they tied Captains Cup.....He said they've been working really hard to make sure BS21 goes perfectly...

I can't wait for next week!!! And it's SO nice to know for sure what night BS is! HOOYAH!!!!!
I'm glad to hear that he called you! It definitely makes your day, right? I know it made mine!
