Hey,

My daughters address is ship 2 div 922. My daughter left Feb 15th. When did your daughter leave?

Have you gotten any mail from her yet? i got her address 3 days after she left because i did not want to wait out the holiday weekend so i called her recruiter fri before and he called me back with the address in 5 mins...

I'm very new to this site so i hope i figure out how to use this and we may keep each other updated if our babies are together.

Have an awesome day....

Lisa

Hi Lisa, my daughter left on Feb 16 from El Segundo, CA and no letter yet! :(.

However, I had read some of the other mom's comments about contacting their childs's recruiter which I did and got her address immediately...I have already mailed out 3 letters I had waiting for her! So now we know our beautiful daughter's are on the same ship! Wonder how many there are? Did you get her box yet? I did the day before yesterday. Well I am also new to the site too.. Ashley is the one who wanted me to go on navy for moms website.. it is really helpful to see that I am not alone and to be able to relate to the other moms that are missing their kids!  I miss her so much! I can hardly wait to graduation...are you going? Well if you have a chance you can upload pictures on your profile page.. I did ...i put some pictures of her on my site

Take Care and let's keep eachother posted ok?? Rosemary

.

Its great to hear back from you...I am starting to think they didn't get started straight away...I got her box two days after she left but still no formal letter. It seems most get the formal letter around the same time the box. Yes I'm going to graduation. want to make flight reservations asap but the cheapest is non refundable so waiting for grad date. I was wondering how many there are too. Lakiesha ( my daughter ) left with 3 females..not sure how this message looks..I'm on my phone at work . Won't be much work getting done around here until apr..:) ok talk to ya soon...I will try to put pics tonight also..

Hi Lisa

YAY....Hello MOMS...I dont feel so all alone...you ladies are the only other ship2/div922 moms ive seen!

My Dau left for BC on 2/16 from Phoenix. I was fortunate enough toget her info the following morning after she left. I received her box this past Weds. however no form letter yet...I am hopeful for that letter to show up today!

I've sent her about 8 letters already lol...I know....i miss her so much...  looking forward to PIR.

OK moms.  I'm going to suggest another site - go to the 900 moms.  Any division starting with a 9 (922) is what is called a performance division.  This may be a flag bearer, band, choir, "administrative duties", at the PIRs.  Lots of discussion in the "900 Moms" group.  It is an honor to be in that division.  Because these recruits spend time in practice, they usually pick someone who has a decent ASVAB score, in pretty good physical shape and knows the basic info they were supposed to learn while in DEP.  You will find out soon what your daughters have been picked for.  Best wishes and enjoy the roller coaster ride.  (my son was in the triple threat division (choir, band and guns - not sure of this last one almost three years ago). The most important thing you can do is to send cards and letters every day (I sent a letter on my way to work and mailed a card on my way home) everyday.  This is there only connection to the outside world.

Thank you Gulf Coast Mom.. I actually found out today from my daughter's friend who graduated last week from Great Lakes that she is in this special divsion!  yay! Those years of high school Dance/Drill team paid off! I am soo excited! I can't wait to see her at graduation. Thanks for the tip on the "900 Moms Group". I will check it out.

Hi Jamie. Welcome! yeah I am so glad.. there are more of us Ship 2 divison 922 moms around! I have also been sending Ashley loads of letters.. I miss her so much too! I am like so waiting for that phone call! Hey this was supposed to be boot camp for the recruits only! I feel like us Moms are through boot camp too! hey no fair! . Good Nite..Rosemary
No letter yet...Maybe tomor...
Hi Lisa.. did you get the letter yet? if not hang in there.. you will get it!!! wow..did you see my post about comparing all this waiting like pregnancy..waiting and waiting..till the (box comes) till the (letter comes) till the (phone call comes)! then graduation! (birth!) hope doesnt sound weird.. but seriousley.. so much waiting! have a great day Lisa! Rosemary
