Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Yeah the bad thing is that everyone gets punished for something others do but I guess thats how they try to get them all to work together and get along

My son mentioned in his last letter than his division (297) is loud and obnoxious, so they get extra IT (Intense Training = discipline).

Yeah my son told me they were loud too...although he is in div 298 he said 297 is always on trouble

My daughter is in Div 297 and said they do alot of extra IT. I promise you, she is not one of the loud ones....this is what she has wanted to do for a while and wouldn't jeopardize that. She has always been quiet, but did mention in a letter that there are some pretty rude girls in this division.
I got a message from her boyfriend last night that she wrote in a letter that she has to do extra IT because of all the letters she gets....i guess they think she is loved too much!! I asked him if I should not send so many letters and he said she likes the extra IT...go figure...I never would have thought that! She has always been athletic, but extra IT?
Can't wait to hear all the stories from division 297....should be some good ones!!

We're not in your div, but my daughter is saying some of the same things about hers. Guess it takes a while for everything to gel, but I'm hoping and praying that it will. My daughter welcomes the extra IT as well. says they're not really doing as much "working out" as she thought they would and she actually enjoy's that. (Sometimes I wonder if she was switched at birth! LOL)

Lol mldd. I wonder same about my daughter. Well I think navy switched her with someone else. My daughter volunteered to clean the toilets cuz they were being docked due to them not being done right. I remember not even a year ago I stood in bathroom with her and she was literally in tears cuz I was making her clean the toilet in her bathroom. Jeez and now she OFFERED? OK where's my kid??

Lol too funny! my son was the opposite he is a neat freak lol and he loves the physical part of it...what he hates is someone yelling at him lol hope he did ok with that...

My daughter has a message for the parents of daughters in 297 and 298.... LOL She said your daughter talks a lot.. LOL Gosh I love her to death.. always has that sense of humor no matter where she is.

Lol yeah Gio said hid DIV has been in trouble too causeof the girls...lol but they seem to be getting it together now...they have had lots of extra IT

Heather said the same thing about IT, she has spent nights in the beginning crying because these girls wont work together... but she seems so much more upbeat now. I can't wait for this to be over.

Got another letter from my son (3/297). His entire letter was about how they spent last week on learning how to properly handle and use the weapons. He was so excited and mentioned how listening to the instructor goes a long way b/c all the SR lives (once they graduated) are in each other's hands in the event of an emergency.
Now I just wonder when Battle Stations will happen?!
Can't wait to see many of you at Sarge's!
