Thanks Suesmom,
Thank you for the airport support.. I will be traveling alone so I'm a little nervous. Portland is beautiful but very busy compared to where I live.. I remember driving through Iowa about 10 years ago.. it's pretty flat. but has it's own unique beauty as well.. I wonder if Jess and Sue are getting to know each other?
Hey ladies! My boyfriend is in this division :) We got his phone call that Saturday and were excited to hear from him! I was wondering if any of you had any other contact with your recruits since then. Any letters? Aaron's mom and I are still waiting for one of those. Hope you guys are all holding up well!
Their graduation day is now posted on the Recruit Training Command website. Lots of information for families on this site. 9 divisions are graduating on 10/29! You'll have to use the password from the form letter to print your parking pass to gain entrance to the base from this website.

I got the form letter today! I sent my first letter to Andy he is on ship 350 also. Used my FF points to fly to ORD for free!
I hope to meet some of you there!

Eric (not a mom but a dad!)
Hello. I got a letter from my daughter. She said they just got the chance to write. she said they started with 85 people and are down to 71. she said a lot of the girls complain and cry and it just annoys her. so much for compassion from her. she said they have their first test on Wed which I guess was Yesterday, and if they fail it they go back a week. Overall she said it was not bad. It was just good to hear from her and know she is still Ok with her decision.
a Letter Yay!! Wow!! 85 to 71!!? scary!! complaints and crying don't sound like my daughter.. but you never know.. I hope I get a letter today too!! I'm running out to check the box.. thanks for sharing!! :)
Huge sigh of relief!! YAY I got two letters!!! :) She is hanging in there, doesn't mind to physical part.. doesn't like all the yelling but endures it.. she said the same thing about the talking at night that your daughter did..:) Her biggest complaint is the desk work and waiting in lines.. she did tell me about the swimming test and that a lot of people failed it.. she said so far it has been everything she expected..
I got a letter too! He wrote it over a span of 2 days because they don't have a lot of time. It's so good to hear how they are doing and to hear what they are up to! Aaron didn't say anything about the boys crying and complaining, just talking back to their RDC's and getting push ups ;) So far he hasn't gotten into trouble, so lets hope he stays out if it! Glad to hear your recruits are doing well, too!
Hello,
I am so glad everyone got letters. it does give some relief doesn't it? Susan did not say anything about the swimming test or the desk work. It is interesting all the things they do and go through and what sticks in their heads. I can't imagine the boys crying although both my sons said that most of the guys ended up in tears by the end of their bootcamps. One was in the army and the other the Air Force. I hope we get letters again soon.
Hey everyone! I got a call today so I thought I would check to see if you guys did and what info you got about PIR if any. Aaron said we may get all day Friday with them and then we can hang out with them at the airport because as of now they may not be on a chartered flight. Maybe others have more information from their recruits? Yay for the phone call :)
Hello all.
I got a call today. I am so glad I keep my phone with me wherever I go. It was nice to hear her voice. She said they are all doing good. That they did good so they got to call and go to store for 45 min. We did not get to talk that long because her phone card only had 20 min but it was good to hear her voice. She said the same thing about PIR that she was told they would have Friday but at 2:00 am they were going to the airport but it was not for certain. She said everyone passed their test so that is good and that they are all working hard. I hope everyone else got their phone calls.
Hi , Jessica called today too but I was driving in an area my phone didn't have a signal!!! How horrible.. she did call the home phone and my husband got to talk to her.. but I wanted to talk to her!! I know you are so happy to of heard your daughters voice!! It sounds like Nikki is handling things like a pro.. go Nikki!! I love the letters home!! a couple of them have some tear stains, but there's no hint of tears in them.. It seems like they have grown so much in such a short time.. I can't wait to see them!!
