do u know when he goes off to A school
He goes on the 6th of July. How about you?
He didn't tell me. I assumed he didn't know yet. What he did tell me was that his A school is 14 damn weeks. I booked a hotel for 3 nights anyway just in case.
Oh only 14 weeks? Man Brandon has like 18 months worth of schooling.. I believe.. So what job exactly does he have?
brandon had nuke that requires a lot of education. pete's a machinist mate, basically the repair man. he fixes anything that runs on gas or battery. i'm going to tell him to try and apply for housing during A school, sometimes they grant them that privilege. i can't sleep at night. the adjusting to not sleeping with your partner every night is difficult. i've been sleeping with him for years it's so hard to adapt. these 2 months went by fast, but so long at the same time. another 14 weeks would be painful. and then there's "west pack" if we do go to the west coast, :-(
I don't know if they will allow him to get some housing cuz it is such a short time.. That is so sad.. I bet that is hard having him there next to you at night then have the empty space.. =/ But I think if you two get married then you are able to travel with him to his A school.. What is "west pack"?
you don't wan to know what is west pack but i will tell you. west packs are done on the west side of the country, the boys go out to sea for 6 months. they go 1 or 2 tours during there NAVY contract. sometimes a miracle happens and a sailor won't have to go to west pack at all. my brother went twice his wife suffered a chemical imbalance and was going ape shit. i don't want to get like that. i told pete that during the times he will be gone i will go and stay with my mother
Oh no bueno.. But they guys are going out anyway.. Does Pete want to make this a life thing?
uhm he already has 6 years with the federal govt. we worked together that's where we met (we worked for TSA) so for retirement all he needs is 14 more years with the govt. 4 years if this contract and then he might renew for another 10. he would retire by 42 i'll be 40, we just want any easy going life. he's an artist so after retirement from the armed forces he plans on dedicating his time to that. what about brandon?
oh btw i just reserved a one way ticket i payed $113, whoopi. i didnt get round trip cuz i dont know how much liberty he will get
Ohh well that works out then.. =] Brandon is still on the fence with a lot of things. He has talked about going officer and not staying in to go private. I honestly don't know what he will decide. I told him do whatever will make him the happiest. When he is ready to make the decision he will let me know. Until then, l will be in limbo. And dang that is a good rate.. =] He will probably be the same as Brandon which means he leaves on the 6th. So he'll have liberty til the 5th. I leave on the 4th cuz I didn't think he would be free on the Monday after.
what hotel are you staying in? I' staying at the red carpet inn
as someone who has worked for uncle sam before, i know that new options will present themselves. so i predict that throughout their career constant changes will go into motion. one minute you're here the next minute the govt. want to do whatever with you, but there are strings you can pull at times.
