Our sailors will moving on to the 2nd phase of "Nuke" School. Indoc starts on Feb.9th and classes on the 13th. Since we will all be in the "same boat" together, I thought it will be nice to share our experiences.  Lets continue to support our sailors and each other!

think they are actually gonna enjoy this break from school....and Cindy, colin got approved and is on his way as I type....Yay! and he is bringing a friend with him.  Had to run out and do some speed shopping for turkey dinner, now scarfing down dinner and baking treats!

oh with a glass of wine of course!

Cheers Amanda! I am doing a happy dance for you! I knew he would get approval.

Josh has watch on Thanksgiving and on the Saturday after. He doesn't care, he just hopes to get a chit for the the following week to get his car and possesions from Vegas. I hope he also gets approval. I'll do the happy dance naked in public! lol

Mama C....I know, right?  I am thinking the A school graduation near the holiday must be the reason for the delay. It still seems too long. I am hoping this estimate is wrong and they start sooner.

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I talked to Josh yesterday and he told me that his SLPO confirmed  Power School will start in February.
I remember someone on N4M, while discussing waiting between classes, saying somehing like look at the bright side, that is all more of their time that they are getting paid while not being deployed. I guess that is something to be thankful for.

Happy Turkey Day CindyLou, yes colin confirmed that him and Josh are good friends...said Josh is really smart! LOL!

Wow Besyleebig what great pics! You must have been so proud sitting there watching the ceremony. Thank you for the wonderful pic you took for me. Looking at your pics made me realize another blessing of going to GC. You get to meet all their friends. I hope you had an amazing visit. I can hardly wait until Power School Grad.

had a blast having Colin home for Thanksgiving, such a great visit. Especially enjoyed when he would get up at 5 am and have coffee with me while everyone else slept, something we always did when he lived at home. (mom time)! You dont realize how much you miss them being at home, untill they leave again. No matter how many times they leave its still hard, but it does my mind good to see how mature and self sufficient he is, helps you worrie less!

Hopefully his watch/duty rotation will stay as is, if so then he may be able to check out earlier at x-mas than planned! Will deffinately be home dec 20th-26th, maybe able to head home the 17th or 18th, will give us a few more days together before me and his dad head to Florida for a few days.

Hope you all had a Great Thanksgiving!

Great pic!  You both look so happy!!!  I havent' heard from my son in quite a while which is unusual for him.  We normally talk every few days.  I have no idea what he's up to and why he isn't calling or answering message.  I'm getting a bit worried but he's most likely just fine and I am being a worry wart.  I sure hope you get those few extra days with you son at Christmas.

Sorry  to  hear  you  haven't  heard  from  your  son.  I  remember  one  day  I  couldn't get  in  touch  with  my  son and  I  usually  see  him  on  my  buddy  list so  even though  I  don't  speak  with  him  I  know  what  he   is  up  too.  I  started  to  panic  so  much  I  left  about 8  voice  messages  on  his  phone  an d had  my  other  son  text  him,  and  emailed him. Turns  out  he  was  on  watch  that  day and  got   quite a laugh  about   my over concern. I  know  they  are  in  the  process  of  moving  now; maybe  things  aren't  set  up   for  him  to  contact  you.  Did  you  see him  in  my  pictutes  of  graduation?
