Our sailors will moving on to the 2nd phase of "Nuke" School. Indoc starts on Feb.9th and classes on the 13th. Since we will all be in the "same boat" together, I thought it will be nice to share our experiences.  Lets continue to support our sailors and each other!

Our son is an ET in GC ... also took the E5 test Wed.  Last I'd heard, their prototype was starting in late Nov. or early Dec. Has two roommates that moved into apartment yesterday. Amazingly, already received their moving allowance! Their official change to prefill command is 9/21. Hope all our sailors are successful at their moves, prototype starts, and, eventually, sailing through to the END of prototype!

Son was suppose to  start  prototype in  Nov.  Sounds like equipment  failure  is  going  to  delay  it.  Did  the  Oct  class  start on  time?

Betsyleebig,

My son was also suppose to be in the November class. He also said looks like a delay. Maybe this will delay them until after Christmas and enable them to come home on leave for the holiday. There may be a bright side.

nope.....my son was suppose to start October...delayed till possibly December 1st....but that can of course change with the wind!

hello all!!

my son also was suppose to start in nov.  he too said there would be a delay.     i am praying that means he will be able to come home for christmas!!!

Son  just  got  his  schedule.  Looks  like  he  will  be  working on  both  Thanksgiving  and  Christmas. Still  doesn't  know  what  he  will  be   doing.  He  has  heard  a  rumor  school  won't  be starting  until  March!

good lord....MARCH? thats a ways off.............

Amanda, when did you hear that and is it a rumor or for sure?!!!!

was read from the post above.....as far as I know, they may class up around Nov 26th.....we shall see....hope everyone is well! Im taking a week-end trip to GC next friday....heading to Beaufort SC to see a friend that is stationed there in the Marine Corp, so gonna pop in and see the boy!

I know him and Ashleigh are planning to head this way for Thanksgiving, but they are just planning a quiet Christmas with just the two of them in GC.

my son heard maybe jan. or feb.    i ask him if he found out yet about being able to come home for either christmas or new years.  i figured they have to have time to get the travel arrangements approved if they are allowed.   we shall see!

hello all!!

justed to wanted to touch base.  my son said he will be able to come home for either christmas or new years.  im guessing  he wont be classing up till after the holidays.   has anyone else heard anything?

Was your son    suppose  to  be  in  1203  or  1204?  My  son   was  suppose  to  be  in 1204  prefill.  He  said  only   2  sailors  were actual   put  in  it  and  he  wasn't  one  of  them.  I  don't  think  he   has   any  idea  when they  are  going  to  class up.  He  is  coming   home  for  Thanksgiving but  has  to  go  back  Sun  and that  is   his   birthday!  Oh  well   at least  he  will  be  home  for a  few days.
