This might be too late with this tip, as you most likely have the info you need, but I was able to get the ship and div # from my son's recruiter just one day after he left (left Nov 8th, and had the address details on the 9th). I am not sure about when he will receive the letters, maybe writing early does not expedite anything.

Most likely he was on p hold waiting on the brother divisions to both fill up. Seeing that Navyvet/navymom has a daughter that arrived at about the same time, my guess is they were waiting on females to arrive. Your son could be in an integrated division, or he is in the division after the integrated divisions were filled (yes, they must wait).

My son said his P-day were 10 days. Not sure why. He said he felt like he was in jail. He did say when he tried on his uniform for the first time, he looked legit. I think that made him feel better. He said it wasn’t as easy as he thought it was going to be. The PFT was not a problem for him nor was the swim. I think it’s the domestic part of it. The folding, the making of the bunk, uniform inspection. He said if he can get through this part he’ll be good.

I think they got him in early so they could get them graduated before Christmas..which is a good thing!!! Chloe’s p-days lasted a couple of extra days so I’ll bet they were waiting for more recruits to get there so they could form their division. They may be in the same division! Chloe is in 047. She ran her prt today so tomorrow is 1-1 day...hopefully the letter will be here soon!!
