Carol, that is great. glad you had a good time too. Tell him us moms are allowed to make them fat while they are home or we visit them, LOL.
Terri, about the party thing. I know in our schools here if we invite one kid to a party, they all have to be invited. So what I do is give certain ones an invite and so I don't have to have 25 kids at my house or where ever I am having the party. I have a huge family and just with the kids from my family I can have up to 30 people at a time. Wow crazy huh. All my cousins have 2 to 4 kids each and I have a lot of cousins too. I don't usually invite all of them usually just the ones I am really close to. That sounds mean but I have to put a limit on the parties. That is why we kept it small and quiet this time.
Marcy your day sounded just wonderful, soinds like my kinda day, i love to go over to NY city too, glad mia had a great time!!!!!! i wish i was there LOL
Terri- yrs ago parties were different, now a days you lucky you can invite one friend, yes it is quite expensive for sure!!!!! but glad you all had a good time!!!
Nita that highlight sounds good i need one too LOL
well my trip to see my son was nice got to go to that Nex store and buy a few things, we also watched some movies, ordered pizza and had some crsipy creams lol i also made a nice roni dinner for my son, so he was happy, he said mom your not allowed to come visit no more your getting me fat LOL well it was short but real sweet!!!!!!! so happy i got to go
Wow , Terri, here in Schdy, its 10.00 per kid, but for that 10.00 you get 2 games, your shoes, pizza and soda. 9.00 per kid per game, that is freaking crazy.
. I think for Tyler's 16th b/d in December, I think I am going to do something special. I am hoping by then his brother will be back from deployment and hopefully back up here. Actually having RJ home would be gift enough. Maybe a nice family dinner, or taking him down for his permit... I am going to have to get my hair hi-lighted again just to cover all the grey.
Blondie, so glad you heard from you sailor and she is doing well. That is so nice of you to send them stuff. so happy for you.
I did get to talk to my Airman this morning. I saw he was on skype so I got to talk to him for a good while. Momma was very happy being it has been since Feb. since I talked to him . He is doing really good.
Well hello ladies, how is everyone? Good here.
Here is our trip to NYC. We had a great time.
We left at 11pm on Friday evening. Got to our restaraunt in Jersey, 1/2 hour from NYC at 5 am and we were not to get there until 7am, 2 hours ahead of schedule. So we all ate and were in NYC at 7:15 am. First stop, The Today Show. We stood there for few minutes until we got cold and so we started to walk around amelessly. We stop at place that had history of New Years Eve and when it started, it started at 1907. They had the actual ball from the 2007 New Years Eve in there and we got many, many pics in front of it. So then we went down to Toys R Us and rode the huge ferris wheel that they have inside. That was fun, hung out there for awhile. Just put it this way it was basically the only store that was open at that early in the morning. Then we stopped at the Disney store. Then we were going to go to a wax museum but it would have been over 50 for me and Mia and that was with a 5 off coupon, so we didn't do that. So then we walked over to the Hello Kitty store and then off to M & M store. By then it was time to go to the American Girl Store and do our tea party. That was really nice. They started us off with a cinnamon roll, it was wonderful, then we had our main courses, it started out with chocolate chip scones, to die for, and jello smiles made of orange bottoms and jello, green and orange. Then on the second plate, of the 3 tiered thing they brought out, was your mini sandwiches, BLT, PB and J and egg salad. THen on the bottom were sugar cookies with raspberry jelly on them, tarts, and banana bread. Then there was desert, it was flower pot with choc. mousse and cookie crumbs, topped with a daisy and a flower sugar cookie. It was fabulous. We bought some stuff at the American girl store and of course Kit got her ears pierced. We were going to have her hair done and that was going to take 1 1/2 hours, NO WAY, I talked her into having the ears pierced. Then we took a cab over to the FOA Swarz,sp, for an hour we spent there and wow amazing, they have Big Piano that the kids can play on and it was in the movie Big with Tom Hanks. We also went to the lego store and what amazing things they did with the Legos. Then we got on the bus at 8:30 pm and was home by 330 am Sunday morning. Ya know I would do it all over again too. It was great.
Carol, have a safe travels. Hug your son for me okay, since I can't hug mine right now.
Ya I must be just a "B" kinda girl. B on test, B on abstract paper, check. Now I am determined to get an A at some point and time but if not that is okay.
