The rainforest Cafe is a neat place we have one here in Phoenix, az. there was one place we wanted to try and I cant recall why we didnt.: the great room escape". it is where you and a group go into this room and you have to get clues on how to get out. its a real test but fun. I have seen it on tv once looked liked fun.

We will play Saturday by ear for sure...and leave lots of time either way.  He may just want to go to the mall...he mentioned in his last letter to bring his tennis shoes and his underwear, but we are thinking he might want new ones.  We just want to spend lots of time with him!  We don't care where.

Yes a lot of families did stay there and at the Navy lodge which is pretty close. we were about 4 miles away but had no problems with getting to Graduation or to pich him up or take him back. Sat. morning there was a line to sign him out took about 1/2 hour but that was the only time it took a while. there are a lot of good hotels around and some give discounts also. so it was all worth it. Chicago is Beautiful but I was glad to be home.

newnavymom2 he my son  wasso adament on the rules he wanted to take no chances. before they are able to come out on Liberty they are told the rules the times. so he wanted to make sure me and his sister knew what he knew or what was told. to me a little paranoid but safe. I was ok with it. and they can have Liberty taken away along with extra duty. so we played it safe. and we played it safe by staying in Waukegan. we had a fabulous dinner at Stevens a very nice little expensive steakhouse after He was able to come out from his new station. It was around 3pm when we met up again. but Sat. he was able to get Liberty after he was done with the talk again and he had to meet us up front by the main gate drive him back to sign him out and in the evening we also had to sign him in. Now I dont know if that goes for all the New Sailors that stay in Great Lakes for A School. it wasnt so bad. Sat. morning I had made a huge Breakfast for him with all his likings then we headed out to the Mall and to Target. after he wanted to hang out at the hotel. and time sure flies by. About going to Chicago they were also told about that before he had Liberty they recommended him not to go, so he didnt want to when it was brought up.
