Talk about a complete crying breakdown at work. My amazing son sent me a message in a bottle right before he left for boot camp on 6/13. I received a box at work yesterday (6/15) and was a little confused because I knew I hadn't ordered anything recently. I opened the box and saw this pink tissue paper wrapped package. Now really curious, I tore off the paper and saw this beautiful bottle with a tightly rolled paper inside. It was a note from my son thanking me for giving him strength, that he would always be my little boy and that he loved me. Urgh, I'm tearing up right now just writing about it. Boy, I love and miss that kid!
What a Beautiful gift and an Amazing Son! To think he knew how you would be feeling and To reassure you he will be fine. Ugh! I'm crying. Melissa you did a great job at raising your Son. Boys don't they get you all the time, I know my Son always tries to surprise me when he comes down to visit, one year in July 5th. I think he likes to see me cry happy tears. Now I hope this eases your fears/worries and yes we all are our loved ones strength and no matter the circumstance we will continue. God bless and thank you for sharing this Amazing gift!
Thank you ladies for all your wonderful compliments to my son and I. Once I get his address and get past the first couple of weeks I'm going to print out this post and all of the comments for him to read. I know that all of the nice words will lift his spirits.
You let him know we are all routing for him, and to stay focused, his dreams are around the corner and he will do great things and see beautiful places. Can't wait till you get the I'm a Sailor call! Best wishes to you and your SR.
