Oh I am so happy for this letter, I got a 5 page hand written letter spanning over 4 days. It started out tough (night 1 he wanted to quite but said the little card in his wallet I gave him reminded his of his why) and he said the peanut butter shot hurts so bad he can't sit down or bend over to tie his shoe, he was worried about his run but he passed that and the swim. There is one kid in his division that keeps messing up and they all pay the price :( on day 9 (the last day he wrote 6/26) he said he wanted to quit, he's in so much pain and so sore but he keeps thinking of family.
I feel so helpless, but on a cool note they are starting a new thing and his division is sponsored by the blue angels.
Wow! Congratulations on getting a letter. I am still waiting..... My SR arrived 6/18 and other than the form letter, I have not heard from her. Worrying and not being with them is so hard. I just keep wondering ‘did we do enough to prepare her?’
All we can do is pray and hope. ❤️
flygraceful - just remember, no news is good news! You should be getting a letter soon!
Kyles Mom - the first few weeks are the roughest - they are breaking them down as individuals and raising them back up to work together as a team. There's always at least one in every division that seems to have issues but they usually get that straightened out fairly quickly! Keep sending him lots of positive and encouraging letters - before you know it you'll be at PIR! And that's awesome that his division is sponsored by the Blue Angels!
Hang in there!
