Usually on the 3rd and 5th week the SR's call. It's usually on either Saturday or Sunday. My week 3 call was Saturday and my week 5 was Sunday. (This is not always the case). The casual calls are always on the weekends, varying times. Joining your PIR group, people often post which DIV is calling, as to prepare everyone to have their phones handy, as I recommend you should do as well!
You're almost at the week 3 call!! So very exciting! (:
Jeanie - you will get the official letter in about 9-14 business days. That will have your PIR date listed.
Hello, I am not sure what days they get to call but my son did call home on the third Sunday he was there.
I got first call on Sat morning (9ish Chicago time) on the 3rd week, there are some test they have to pass to be able to earn time to call home. Then the second call was around 8pm on a Tuesday, and they gave him 10mins to call Bc he was help out doing laundry the day before that. My 3rd call around week 5th on a Sunday early afternoon (11ish). And he is on week 6th now. He said only 1 more time to call home, i bet is a “I’m a sailor” call.
Hang on there mama! And ANSWER ALL THE CALLS. (Mine always said “Waukegan, IL”, but it’s May different.
Jeanie, Calls can come on any day of the week except Sunday morning (Central Time). The calls may also come from ANY area code so we advise BC Moms to answer ALL Calls. You can just hang up on the telemarketers. We have even had moms who have had caller ID say it was from over seas. They have a small phone bank to use so while most seem to get calls on Sat of Sunday it really can be on any day at any time.
If its been 2 weeks since she left then she is likely on Week one of her training. The first 5 days of BC are Processing Days. DO NOT count Saturday and Sunday those are Phold days. You will not count any Sat or Sunday in her training schedule. Saturday is a day to practice what they need to study and Sunday morning is for Worship, Shining boots, Studying, Taking a longer shower, Studying, Shaving, Ironing Uniforms, Studying, Writing letters home.. Oh and Studying. They do not learn new material but they are learning every day. If you go to the left side of this page you will find a lot of great videos that will explain what is happening. You can also join the main Bootcamp page to find more new moms who are in the same stage as you are.
Welcome to the Family!
I didn't hear from my son for about 5 wk - he called on Sunday at 5:30pm East coast time
