Thank you SO much for the encouragement! It's true, and just as we encourage our kids, we too need it just as much - maybe more sometimes.
Thank you for the uplifting words!
Thank you so much for this post.
I'm really struggling today. Last night I had a bad dream about my recruit. It's been hard shaking the worry the dream left behind. I haven't received a personal letter yet. My son's not much of a writer, and I know how busy they are, but I sure would feel better if I got a short "I'm doing fine." I keep reminding myself no news is good news.
I also wanted to share Joshua 1:9
Hi ShellyMarie, it does get Better, as soon as the communication door opens you will see. One thing I would like to remind all Moms, Is that this is much as a test for us as it is for them. And later down the road you will see what I mean. Once A school even C school is over they will go to a Duty station and if their Rate is needed on a Ship, Sub, destroyer, Carrier and they are on deployment they will be shipped to meet up with that ship ect. if not soon enough they will eventually go on deployment. Now I have to say that some of these ships are silent, meaning the same way communication is cut now is how it will be on some Ships. So please keep that in mind. The best thing to do is to learn what your Son/daughter's rate I,s it will give you so much info as to what ships they may be on how long shore duty and sea duty is what all they will experience. Hope this helps. And Best wishes to all's Son's/Daughter's!
Thank you, You are right, this is only the beginning, I know there will be days like yesterday. Thankfully I slept great last night and I'm feeling more like myself. I'm looking forward to starting the new day.
