OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).  Still limited to 2 guests maximum.

Specific information on this policy change will be provided in the coming days and weeks.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your support.

RTC Graduation

**UPDATE 7/16/2021**

**UPDATE - 2020**

Due to COVID there is no public PIR. The graduations are on Thursday, and the video of the graduation is posted on RTC's FaceBook on Friday at approx 3pm. Please keep in mind that a division may need to complete additional quarantine during training which will delay their graduation.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Woo Hoo!!!! Congrats to you all! That is so awesome! I'm sure you are all on cloud nine? Enjoy your phone calls.

That's great, thanks for letting us know

No call.  What a disappointment.

Jean, I'm so sorry you did not get a phone call. I so feel your disappointment as I have not received a letter yet. My heart aches to hear from my Sailor. I am excited for your sailor as he is almost at the end. Hooyah, and congrats! Have a blessed day and get up LaLa ribbon Queen to get your PIR ribbon and other navy mom goodies for you trip.

Thanks navyknit22.  Now it makes me wonder if something is wrong, since this was confirmed?

Jean, please don't think anything is wrong. There are only one bank of phones for them to use. There are1000s of div trying to get phone time. There are about 80 Srs in each div trying to get to a phone. The rdc can cut them off at any time :( another div might of come in and "bumped them" off. Hang on, he wil get a call. Again please don't think anything is wrong, he's in the Navy now. I am so sorry if I upset you it was absolutely not my intention. I really do feel like he will call. They may have only had time for half of them to call yesterday and the other half may call today. Let us know so we can rejoice with you. I am going to church and will pray for phone calls and letters!
