I do have the Ombudsman's information. I am on the e-mail tree and have the facebook page too. I have been waiting impatiently for any photos haha. But it's just really starting to hit me now that he's gone... =(

What rate is your husband?

My husband left today aboard the USS Chancellorsville. Unfortunately, I was not there to see him off. I am currently in Massachusetts finishing up my last semester of college before graduation. Does anyone have any pictures or videos of the ship leaving the pier? I would really appreciate it. I am also looking for any support I can get as this is our first deployment. =(

I'm not sure I could do it either Marianne. He did say that the inside was tiny.

He is making the best of it though. Hope he doesn't sea sick out there. We are from FL. but he has never experienced anything like he's going too... Can't wait to see your photo of the ship. Thanks

My son headed off this morning, he is part of the crew of the USS Chancellorsville.

Very excited for him. He was more than ready to head out. Not exactly what he

planned on, to begin with, but went into it with a possitive attitude. He injured his

knee, which Med rolled him. He now looks to the future, healing mentally and physically. I wish the best to him and all of the crews with the Strike Group.
