In true Navy form...BRAVO ZULU to our new Eagle Scouts. Jordan is still plugging away, but should have everything wrapped up for ECOH a week after high school graduation and he'll be just 17 so it's all good. So proud of your scouts because I know as a mom, it's not the the hard work of the individual scout, but of the ENTIRE FAMILY, so BRAVO ZULU to all the families and troops that supported these fine young men. I know our boys drive us crazy at times, but I'm getting a lump in my throat with pride for each of your new Eagles. Life will be much easier because they know how to plan, execute, bend when necessary, and finally reach their goal.
Christian leaves to go back to WA tomorrow, can't believe that 17 days has already passed. We had a wonderful Christmas with him, and while his gift was on the back of his truck (new tool box) there wasn't much under the tree for him, but he was just glad to be home with family and got to see his good friends (more like extended family). Hope everyone's Christmas was their best yet, and may God continue to bless our families in 2011.
We;re in the same boat. Ben's wont be until about end of Feb start of March since our scout master says it takes at least 30-45 days for the congrats letters to come in. With Ben having graduation in June I'm not sure if Ireally want Ian to take time for this or that.
YEAH for Eagle Scouts! and the parents too! Yeah for the troop that helped them achieve this honor.
Congrats to you on 2. It is wonderful. Yes once an Eagle Always an Eagle, You've done a great job. Any date for your court of honor?
To my scouting moms and families! Merry Christmas! Raise a glass to a great 2010 and look forward to a wonderful 2011. Blessings to all and remember the reason for the season.
Congrats Mich! and eaglemom55 thanks for bringing scouting to your community. by end of today i should be the proud mom to my second Eagle. His BOR is tonight starts at 7pm est. I'm so excited. Just like Mich It will be 2 down and 1 to go. The other is a life scout was 15.5 on Monday and has about 5 badges (only 3 required) and a project from the beginning. I keep making suggestions. Here's hoping his project gets picked, planned and completed by his birthday June 13. LOL
It has been a long time since David did his eagle project. He refurbished a walking trail including a walking bridge in our local park. We live in a small town, so opportunities are limited. He was 16 when he got his eagle. We worked in scouting for 14 years on every level and wore many hats. Our town didn't have scouting till we started the organization. Now I proudly say, we had 7 eagle scouts and the unit still survives. It started with cub scouting and then went troop then venture scouts. We did camping, merit badges, 50 mile hikes and bike rides. Now we look back and beam with pride of all our eagles, not only our son but everyone has succeeded wonderfully. The Eagle carries a lot of power and responsibility throughout their life journeys. They fly with pride!!!
