Hello everyone, I am new to all of this. My husband just left for basic a week ago. I miss him like crazy. I have wrote to him every day. I was wondering when I will start to see letters from him or get phone calls from him? I have never missed someone so much in my life. It probably does not help that I'm 12 weeks pregnant so the emotions are crazy for me right now. Does anyone have any positive experiences or any experiences that they can share about their loved one going to basic?.

Thank you very much! Reading your reply is definitely helpful. I tell myself time will fly but in the moment it feels like time is going so slow. I work full time and in college full time so I have been trying to focus on my studies but my mind tends to wonder too often and I think about him constantly. Maybe I will try reading a book before bed. Thank you for the idea. I have written him everyday so far. I was so upset when I found out he can't even write for three weeks. I thought that was just the phone calls, but then I found out it was with writing as well and that was heart breaking. I just can't wait till the day I can move with him. We are overly excited for this baby but I can't imagine how he is feeling. We had a miscarriage back in July at 12 weeks and he was nervous about leaving because he didn't want anything to go wrong this time. But we are reaching 12 weeks this week and this pregnancy is not as bad as last time. Last time I was curled up in bed for six weeks. This time I'm hardly getting sick so it looks promising!!!
Congrats on your baby girl! I'm sure that's the best feeling in the world. It must be great to be a mom. How is it being a navy wife? Was it hard to adjust to a new life in a different place? Are you guys able to survive off of his pay? Or was it pretty easy for you to get a job where ever you guys moved to?
Thank you for the positive thoughts. It really helped settle my racing mind.
