Kevsmom, so good to read your words of wisdom!

First I would like to congratulate you and your Sailor! How time flies!!! He will be receiving his orders in no time!!!! How proud you must be!!!  Hang in there!

I guess mrsb and I will be following you to Sub moms around July/August when our boys will graduate A school! How exciting to see their careers develop!

I wanted to thank you for your words of wisdom to Giselda because they were speaking directly to me too!!! HAHAHA  Praise God. He does have mysterious ways to give us a message! Well, sending not mushy texts works!  Thank you!!!! :-)

Yes, how is your Marine? You must be one proud Mama!!!

God bless our Sailors and our Military!!!

Hi KevsMom!!!  Long time!!  How exciting that your Sailor may be getting orders soon!  Mine, and ProudNavyMoms just started A school a few weeks ago and have at until August or September until they are done.  Would be nice to have a date so we could maybe go to graduation but then that would be way too easy!!!  How is your Marine son doing these days?  Take care!

Giselda that was fun to watch, I love that they're in Groton!

Perfect timing too I had just talked to my son and handed off the phone to his Dad and decided to check NFM's. It's so good to hear his voice and know he's doing well. I'm always careful not to be too gushy on the phone and scare him off..lol but when I'm finished talking all I can say is that's my little boy and am so very proud of him! And all our boys/men!

He said the class ahead of him received their orders. It sounds like my son is getting closer to receiving his. Probably in a month or so I'm guessing? Starting to get a little nervous and excited for him!

ProudNavyMom#1 I've got Submarine: Hidden Hunter saved and ready to watch, thanks for the tip!

Hi mrsb :-D

Navymom2013' if your son is on a boomer he will go to GA for a three month class before he goes anywhere else. My son is ET Nav, only ET navs go to Ga for that class. My son was supposed to go to Washington, his orders changed and he stayed in Ga, he was mad at first but happy with it now.

Hi Jbug!  Yes it's on netflix!  My husband and I watched the first two episodes but haven't got back to it yet.  Will have to do that one of these days, or just start over!

Thank you ProudNavyMom#1.  I will have to watch that movie.  Can you find it on Netflix?

Hi Moms!!!  Got a five liner text from my boy!!! He is on day classes and really enjoying it.  Fast paced but good non the less.  I think they train them all to say the same thing, if you ask me! haha

He actually said he would have rather had the night classes but he was happy with the day class.  I replied to him  "The grass is always greener on the other side of the Ocean Sailor!" HAHAHA  He texted back haha. So I'm really happy to have this chat after so many quiet days. :-)

Jbug, good to see you on here as well! I'm on sub moms too.  Ask any questions or just share.  We are all here for you and for our Boys!

Oh, I started watching Submarine: Hidden Hunter and within the first 10 min. it mentions our boys will earn the title Submariner after they earn their Dolphins, usually after their first underway.  I know that is something they want but it means we won't hear from them for a long while :/

God bless our Sailors, God bless America!

Hi Corfrank! Boston is a great place there is sooooo much! Quincy market, freedom trail aquarium, science museum, faunal hall, tour of Fenway park - just to name a few! We used to drive to foxborough then take the T in to boston - mass transit is great there. I would check on line for the current info - it's been about 20 years since I've done this.
