I wanted to ask everyone in this group to please pray for Captain Phillips. He is the captain of the US Naval ship that has been kidnapped and is being held for ransom right now. Outside the coast of Somalia. Let us ask our Father God to also protect the seas that our sailors travel every day and to build a hedge of protection around our sons and daughters and all sailors.

May all of you and your families have a blessed and meaningful Good Friday and Easter Sunday. blessings

Hi Family,

I have a prayer request. Please pray for me as I recover from a flu bug or something. I have been ill for several days and am praying for a quick, full recovery so I can continue to serve in His will. Thank you all for your prayers and I look forward to returning soon with my praise and testimony.

Donnita, to hear that your daughter feels the desire to be in relationship with Jesus is so inspiring. It shows us as parents that our prayers can be answered in ways we cannot even image!! Praise God. I now realize that the promises made to us by the Lord are always fulfilled even if we don't get to witness it ourselves. I'm a living witness that my own mother's prayers were answered that I might be saved from a life of sin. Now I have the same prayer for both my children and I KNOW that it will be fulfilled because God doesn't LIE!! Halleluah.

May the Lord continue to protect, direct and provide His grace over all our loved ones.

Hi Donnita, I enjoyed reading your praise about your son's desire to seek and serve the Lord. You'll will be in my prayers also. I've been where you are and through prayer it can and does get better. I'm a witness. ;>)

Angela, I love the phrase you posted about the Will of God... Thank you as I needed that today. Thank you so much.

John, Thank you for your praise and sharing that scripture with us. I will be using that for a matter that I have on my heart so thank you again.

I have a praise which I shared with on the blog today. My son did receive his nomination from our congressman to the US Naval Academy!! I am so glad that the Lord heard my prayers as my children mean so much to me. They are wonderful gifts from God.

My daughter is underway for a few weeks so I am asking your prayers for her & her ships safety. Her thoughtfulness was so apparent today as I received a beautiful birthday gift from her in the mail but the most wonderful card brought tears to my eyes and let me know that she cares more than she lets on (strong silent type-lol).

May the Almighty continue to bless our children and our children's children.

Hello,

I haven't been around too much for a week. But I can honestly say, that when Jesus was here on earth He healed the sick, the blind, the lame, the deaf, the dumb, etc. and He is still healing today! I have been in agonizing and excruciating pain for the last week with my back and sciatic nerve. I finally called for the elders of my church to come and anoint me with oil and pray for me in accordance with James 5:14-15 that says,
"Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven."
The next day the excruciating pain was gone! And I am improving overall day by day! Jesus be praised and I give Him all of the glory! If you're interested, I put the story on my blog at http://obmblog.blogspot.com hopefully as an encouragement to others. Please keep me in your prayers.

Please pray for me. My degenerative disk disease (lower back) has kicked up and is creating a great deal of pain in my lower back and left leg (sciatic nerve) all the way to my ankle. I went to the chiropractor today and it didn't do much. Will have to go back on Friday. My normal pain medicine of choice (Excedrin) isn't helping much any more. It's getting hard to walk around at all any more.

Hi Angela and family,

Just wanted to send a praise out for two things tonight. For this wonderfully inspiring group, thanks Angela!! Last, I have to thank the Lord for continuing to provide for my family and I. Thank you, Father God.

Blessings on all.
