OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

It will be another week or so before loved ones receive the form letter and know if they have a recruit who is with your wife. For now, these loved ones have a recruit who shipped around the same time and perhaps some will end up with a recruit in the same division or brother division as your wife.

I've only got my son's package with all his belongings in so far. Can't wait to be able to write him and find out when graduation is so I can start making arrangements. I'm glad they let her call you.

My son left on the 22nd, but flights were delayed so he never really left until the 23rd.  Still waiting for the form letter with info about were he is.  Hoping it comes soon!
