OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

  • I haven't gotten mine either, my daughter left Nov. 7th.

Hope you get yours soon

Did either of you get your letters yet?
Mine left on the 6-7th also.

I would call his recruiter on Monday. I’m with you on it being way to long.  At least the recruiter could do is check. Go through all your past mail just to double check.

Definitely calling on Monday I’m losing it !

Hi, ladies! I JUST received mine today and my son left on the 8th, so be looking out for it!! He also mailed us all a letter. Keep your fingers crossed. Look for it either today or Monday. I was stalking the postlady.

I know your relieved , congratulations.

Also, keep in mind that the timeframe is 9-14 business days.

Loosing it !!!

Remember, 9-14 business days.  If you count, the 9th day was just Friday, because of Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving.  I know it's hard.  Be patient.

I am guessing you all will be getting form letters this week. Hang on before you call the recruiter. The recruiter doesn't necessarily have the correct information.
