Thanks guys that makes much more sense to me. I thought it would be September but then it sounded like he'd only be on T-track for a week or two. Nicole if your bf graduates A School July 9 and starts Power School in Sept. then I'm gonna bet my sailor's the same or close to it anyway, since he's an EM and your bf is an ET. Thanks again!

Thanks Ashia. I guess the better question would be then does anyone know when a Power School class would start in August? If his A School ends July 30 any idea when Power School would start?

I'll do my best to help all of you the best I can! Prototype was the hardest for my husband and I... we were only engaged during the time and I was in college in Ohio, so the swing shifts made it really hard to communicate. But all of you ladies who are with your husbands should be fine, you'll at least get to see them! :)

As far as after prototype goes, I can try to help the best I can with people coming to Norfolk. My husband and I live off base in an apartment in Virginia Beach but I have a really close friend who lives on base and I stay there a lot when my husband's out on underways-- so I have experience with both types of housing. :)

Sue, my husband is in Prototype now as well. What is your grandson's name?

I'm pretty sure it's every 6 weeks..

Hey guys can anyone tell me how often Power School classes start up? I know it's not every week like A School but I've heard different things with Power School. Is it every month, every two months? Of course I know nothing is for sure until it happens with the Navy but I'm curious if there's some sort of formula they follow for Power School.

Also, I'm not sure which group I saw this on but someone started a facebook group. It's nice too bc I'm on FB a lottttttttttt (sadly enough) so you can check that out too! You have to highlight and copy the entire link because it only "links" a part of it..not sure why, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.

I don't really talk too much on this site, but I definitely read and I'm sorry to see there was an issue with the other group. I'm not a wife, just a girlfriend, and we don't have any kids but I still like to know what's going on so I hope I don't get kicked off any group lol. Anyway, Casey, your information is always awesome and dead on, I love telling my boyfriend stuff about his school that he doesnt even know (hello Foster Creek villas) and he loves it too! Less he has to worry about. I move to Goose Creek in a few months and am so excited :) I hope I can meet all of you (starbucks + me = a little bit of heaven on earth).

Valerie and Jackie, my boyfriend is graduating Power School in September also! We should definitely do a meet and greet - I think it will be nice to put the faces to the (screen) names. Hope all is well with everyone!

Hi all, I read some of the posts on here about once a week, and I don't know what I've missed, but my son is also in Charleston, well, Goose Creek, and started classes Monday. He had a LONG day! His roommate doesn't begin classes til next week. I wish they could go through this together for support. My pic was taken at Middleton Place Plantation. It's expensive, but we love to stay there about once a year. It's so neat to have a plantation to yourself in the morning!! I

Thanks so much for the incredible information, tips, and details in the discussion forums connected with this group...WOW! How wonderfully helpful and informative! I'm excited that my son, DiL, and infant grandson are going to be joining such a supportive and active community as the nukes in GC! His PIR is 06/04, and hopefully, he will move his little family to GC by mid-June! Thanks to y'all for such diligence in helping with the new nukes coming! You're the best!!!
