well i guess Thsi will be my "new home' for Nuke info...

i'm not to sure of the whole situation but Casey you have been the most helpful person i have met so far where any information is concerned with this program and moving to goose creek. i would just like to say that if being a mom is what the problem was then i guess i will be blocked soon enough....

Thank you to everyone who has helped me out so far, and i hope any other questions that i have can be answered, as well as helping some of the newer people with things that i might know now....<3

Hey Everyone, my husband's been done with the Nuke program since March, but I figured I'd join the group in case anyone has any questions! Good luck to all of your sailors as the start or continue on in the nuke training!

I like being able the share any information I get with those that need it. When my husband left for bootcamp, his recruiter told me so many lies. That we wouldn't be able to get married, and I wouldn't see him, or hardly be allowed to talk to him for two years, that I should jut give up on him now. I almost did when I didn't get a phone call until Christmas Day (he started BC on Nov. 4th, so two months is a LONG time). During the time period Tanner was in BC, I lost my best friend and my mom lost her job. I had no one and nothing, and was working 80 hours a week at a bookstore to make ends meets. I was here for almost 6 months before I was able to make friends. It was just a very awful experience for me. Thanks to TG, finally met some girls, and still am great friends with them now. I know most (if not all) of you MILFS met each other through here, so I've always felt blessed that I was "taken in". It's weird knowing that I'm only going to be here a few more months.

Well now I have hope that my sailor can make my homecoming :) If not its all the reason why I can make him beg his Chief to let me come home for either Prom or Graduation next spring! :)

Wait! So they get to leave right after they graduate A school? My sailor told me he has to wait until his T-Track was over... which didn't make any sense to me, but I took his word for it?

I am beginning to think...the best plan of action is to leave on saturday @ ugly "0"hundred hour. He has to fly all the way to So. Cal. Thanks again for the info.:)))
Comment by Ashia on May 25, 2010 at 7:03pm
Leave starts the day of graduation.. technically at 1600. Which I was going to say about the thing for a flight. Grad is typically finished early, but TECHNICALLY they aren't on leave until 1600 that day. Whether thats enforced for him really depends on his slpo tho.

Thanks Libby :) That gives me a starting point.
