Yay, I got a call too...he called his GF she was able to conference us in. Thank you Mala!!!! It was so great to hear his voice. He didn't sound hoarse..said he was shouting from his diaphragm to save his throat. Speaking of the Christmas break, does anyone know the dates they will be free to leave and have to be back???

My son also was able to call this evening - called his fiancee. She said he was hoarse and exhausted but otherwise things were going better than expected. They had their PT test and he felt like he did fine.

My son just made a 4 minute phone call :-) Said it was rough but he was fine. Said they have been up since 4:30 this morning and started eating by numbers today - so nice to hear his voice.

so my boyfriend was in 03-11, but got rolled to 04-11 and has been giving me lots of info. He told me he met the drill instructor and said he wasn't "bad" in comparison. So, cross your fingers that they get a weekend off somewhere in there :)
