Hi MA Moms! I just read an email from Molly. Pepsi wants to do commercials featuring the packing parties across the country. I told her to count us in - especially since we are so close to Boston. Hoping this will generate even more interest in our get together on Nov. 6th (See above discussion: "MA Navy Moms and Molly's Adopt a Sailor" to sign up. This will give Lesli & I an idea of how many plan to attend. Hope to see you then. (Donna)

Kathy, look above the "Comment Wall" under "Discussion Forum". It is the one that says "MA Navy Moms and Molly's Adopt a Sailor".
It says created 4 (maybe 5 by the time I finish) minutes ago. That is only because I updated the dicussion. The party is at Lesli's home, but we wanted to protect her privacy as much as we could. So her email address is there and you can drop her a note and get all the info. Leave a comment if it doesn't work.

Calling all MA Navy Moms ... the date, time & place are set for our first official packing party. Sat., Nov. 6th at 1P. If interested, please check out the discussion above - MA Navy Moms & Molly's... for more information and location. This is a "go" with whomever can make it.
Besides it is time to start thinking Christmas & the holidays for our troops. Boxes have to be shipped by early in Nov. to arrive on time.
Come on out and let's show other states that there is life & lots going on in New England!!

Hi all. I am brand new to this group. My son is 17 1/2 senior in high school and has dreamed of nothing but joining the navy since he was 6 years old. Right now he is pushing us to sign papers so he can do DEP and hopefully go to basic shortly after hs graduation. I know this is what he wants and am so proud of him for his dedication to his decision. I want to support his early enlistment at 17, but am afraid he will get fed a line of half truths by the recruiter ( remember Private Benjamin...haha).......Have any of the other Mass. moms had great experiences with recruiter and 17 year olds? any advice for me? I thought I was really on board with this, but find myself a little teary just writing this here. Am I being silly?????
