OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Kathy B. you are all in my prayers. I am moving to Florida to be with my mother. My father passed away 3 years ago in November and now Mom needs some help. Hang in there.

Ruth and her family were most generous in opening their home to us. Great weather, awesome company, great food and a beautiful sunset for the drive home. What a wonderful day!

Hi Cindy, I'm Cathie and I live in Grand Rapids. My son is a AWS2 stationed in Norfolk, but he is currently in Bahrain.

Well geez... I just found out he didn't take the exam. He's not even in Norfolk anymore and he just got there a couple of months ago! It's just like when he was a teen... never where he is supposed to be, LOL.

Congratulations Paulette!

Dawn... Advancement results will not be out until sometime in November.

Uli... I hope your son is feeling better soon.
When Hurricane Ivan hit Pensacola in 2004, my son was there for A School. He was evacuated to GA before the hurricane hit and had a problem with his tonsils. He had never ever had a problem with them before, he was rarely sick as a kid. The Navy didn't mess around with it, they took them out immediately. My son said they took very good care of him, but I couldn't believe how fast it was all done.
