OH my goodness Ruth, glad your son is ok, guess it was better that the car got the worse of it and not him.  Any one got snow?  we have just a dusting and can still see the grass.  My Sailor is going to be disappointed if he can't get some snow time in when he's home.

My son was also a wrestler, middle school, high school and freestyle. Been through the ringworm treatments before. My son also had an injury to his eye his Junior year at a tournament and had to wrestle the rest of the season in a face mask. I used to do charting and pairings at freestyle meets. I miss those days!

Well, Korey was diagnosed with Ringworm today. We had been treating it for the past week and the coach told him he had to get the doctor's clearance. There are many of the boys with it and one also has MRSA and that is not good. We got a script filled and he is off for the week. He is really bummed because he has a meet tomorrow and a big one on Saturday. :(

I'm jealous of all you moms that are going to wrestling matches. I miss it so much. I spent the last 7 years of my life getting bleacher butt. So enjoy it, it's worth every minute of it!!! :)

Yep gotta love it here in Michigan! My Sailor is missing the snow, so he says. I guess we'll see when he gets home if he feels the same. Wonder if he has adjusted to the temps of the south.. Glad you gals had a good day!

Ruth and 3dsmom, Glad you had a great time together! I too attended a wrestling meet all day yesterday. Korey just started this year, he has done 3 matches, 2 pins and 1 loss by points. He is pretty good I must say. He has meets on Wednesdays and Saturdays all day. Next Saturday he will be in many matches, so it will be another long day. I have never been to a meet before, pretty stressful if you ask me. It was good to be there with him after being sick all week. We would sit at Diego's baseball games since he was 9 years old, he was a south paw pitcher and a very good one too. He played through his senior year, he played football too and we sat through many of cold games. We wouldn't change it for the world. Now, it is Korey's turn and we will be there for him. He played football and we had great weather which was weird, we had snow for some games last year. Gotta love living here, huh? lol

So exciting to hear of everyone's plans to see their sailors over the holidays. We get ours for two weeks! Will be so nice.

We Skyped last night for the very first time with him. So, so nice to see him while we're chatting. And hubby resisted getting a webcam saying we could just talk on the phone. I think he's hooked on it now, though. All of us got to chat at once. We even held the dogs up to the camera, but fat lot of good that did. They just looked around at everything but the camera and paid no attention at all to that young man on the computer. As he put it, if they could smell his scent, that would be a whole different matter.

And . . . gotta brag. He's earned the honor of getting a new nametag with the NNPTC logo on it with Mathematics Honorman. He got the highest grade in math, so now he is recognized as the big math geek (we knew that already, of course). This is especially great since there wasn't much at all to brag about for him academically in high school He had the brains, but not the motivation. So, so different for something he's really motivated about! :)

I don't understand why Navy personnel can't get a discount on flights.

Oh the air transportation companies! Gosh if i could get my Sailor to New Orleans then i could get a good price. Can not believe the cost of tickets and they changed on me in a click. I wasn't fast enough with the button so the next price was two hundred more. Oh my head! These companies know we want our loved ones home. Ok enough of my venting. I'm going to go have some chocolate. Have a good one Michganders
