Our son wanted sweet tarts! He said they just get no sugar in boot camp! He liked the food there well enough but just wanted something sweet!

Lisa, are you picking on us Southern types? :-) Although I was born and raised in MI, we know make our home in Atlanta. Our children have only seen snow once or twice. Our son has been in GL since February and will be staying until November so he may get to see more snow in one year than he has in a lifetime!

I know Macomb County and lived in either Monroe or Wayne Counties most of my life. Depending on their rating, they may have both A and C school. Our son is in AE//CF so he will be doing both. He's been in school since 4/25 taking an advance technical training class (10 weeks) this is before his A school even begins - he'll be in GL until at least mid November but we knew that going in. His C school maybe almost a year long so it will be awhile before he sees his first ship but he should be well schooled before he gets there! lol

Welcome Donna, What part of MI are you in? I was in Livonia and all of my family lives in the lower part of the state but we have moved to the south and love it here. UP is gorgeous.

Our son is also in Advanced Electronics but FC - he is still in A school so we have a long road ahead of us on that six year contract.
