Great news, JJ!!!  Minnesota would have been a better place to land, but Honolulu isn't so bad ... :-)   Is he the XO over there, then?

Very exciting news from my Sailor recently --- she was specifically asked recently to be the welcoming committee for MCPON West at Navy Recruiting Headquarters!!  She was the first to welcome him to the base, the first to shake his hand --- and he gave her his very own coin!!  She was SOOO excited and SOOO proud!!

Good news!  Eric Robert and family has landed in Honolulu safe and sound.  As soon as the phone ring tonight, I knew it was him.

Bless all our service men and women!  Hope all is well with all our Navy moms.

I love all kinds of storms! This is how it effected me....we had just returned from St. Cloud from the Bike Blessing (yes it rained on us and our motorcycle) and we had just taken off all our wet rain-gear. I fixed some hot chocolate, warming my chilled body. As I curled up in the lounge chair, the sirens were going off, warnings were flashing across the TV screen. The next thing I knew, I was sleeping.  I awoke several hours later to discover that northern Minneapolis was hit pretty hard by the tornado. Once again, I slept right through all the excitement! I seem to miss everything! I am amazed that there was only one death with all the damage that had occurred. Bless those that were helping out their neighbors, and the many, many volunteers that came in to help as well.

I echo you, tls, Thank God.

This is why I couldn't complain about the snow in April and May.  I don't like stormy weather like this.  I couldn't believe all the new mini lakes that are around from all the rain  :)

Tornado hit Fridley --- just about a mile or so from me (maybe less) and then Shoreview, on the other side.  We are safe though, thank God!

waking up this a.m., I thought we were going to have a sunny day -- and then....

we had a little river in our back yard for awhile.  the sirens went off a couple times.  I didn't hear them last night when the tornado hit just to the west.

Wow, I justed logged in to catch up and had to go back 7 pages!  Our sailor has graduated from A school and has joined up with his unit in CA.  His first deployment won't be until late this year and he and his fiance are trying to plan a November wedding.  It's all such a whirlwind and it sounds like it's the same for all of you as well.  Blessings everyone.
