So sorry, not gonna make it today.  We need to help my mom.  Her van is not running so my hubby will look at that while I take her to run some errands.  She just won't part with the silly thing!  Have fun and I'll try to make the next one.

I'm going to have to miss this one again, ladies --- sorry.  My husband's new recovery program has begun at church on Saturday nights and there is lots to do to prepare .... he's working his 2nd job all day, so it's up to me ...

Have a great time!

I'll be there and one other has accepted under the discussion above.  I know there were a few people initially who said they'd be there.

Hi Minnesota NAVY Moms.

I am just checking in to see  if there is still a gathering at Chilis tomorrow.  I have not seen/read much about people being able to make it on this site lately,  I will check tonight again with Kelli from down here in So MN is able to go.   I am open on Saturday, but don't want to go to cities for lunch if  everyone else is busy that day.  Enjoy the time with your sailor's wife Julie.

Stay safe.

How wonderful, Julie!!  Maybe she will surprise you and decide that the Navy is where she belongs for a LONG, LONG time.  I am hoping that Eric Robert will tell us that he is at the end of his duty. Guess that won't happen for at least three more years, but maybe. He is coming up on year 20 in November, but I think that he will stay in for 26 or 30.  Let's see how close I am in 2017....

Congrats to you are your family.

I was told they roll up their pant legs for this high-tech machine that makes an insert for their boots that fit their feet.  And they are not told to roll them down, so they come home still rolled up.

Julie,
My son told me he could see no reason for the pants legs being rolled up except simple obedience to an order. It may have been helpful in sizing their new shoes and boots. It's funny, but in the youtube videos I just posted, you can see the recruits with their pants legs rolled up.
