Go for the get together! It is always wonderful to talk with other Navy Moms. I hope you can do one soon. Down here (if I may use that term) we even started doing an "Every-One's Birthday" in April. We all bring a wrapped gift and exchange them.
Ole-CorpsmanMom - great to have someone so close. I know of another mom who lives near Duluth who may also join us. Your son's job sounds wonderful. My son is a trained EMT and was interested in the Corpsman but is training as a Machinist Mate for now. He is still in the draft for the Seal training.Right now he had his PIR on 10-11-13, and is on hold for A school at GL. We should plan a get together!
Hi all, I am not sure what took me so long to find this group! LOL. I am from Duluth also mariecb. My son finished boot camp in February, Corpsman training in June and just finished field med battalion training on 10.11.13. He is not trained to be on the frontline with the marines but is stationed in at Camp LeJeune Naval Hospital taking care of new born babies. :) I do know a mom from Virginia that if we can get a get together she would probably come. :)
I just sent request to join but it didn't give me the option to send message. I live in Plymouth -- western suburb of Minneapolis
let's try this again. For you with Sailors from Minnesota. I started a group. Let me know where you are from in Minnesota.

Welcome Mindshaper87. Hope you can join us, we have a good time when we get together :-)
Welcome Mindshaper87
You are close to the cities. My Brother in law and family are in Eau Claire so I know the trip back and forth quite well, If only to stop in Baldwin at the A&W or for fireworks on the way there or back : )
Mindshaper87, I'm looking forward to meeting you soon! Glad to have you here.
Have a good night, ladies.
Mindshaper87...I hope that you can join us in November! I am sure that SOMEONE will set something up by the 1st of Novemeber. As I said earlier, I just hope that it isn't on the 9th since I will be in Colorado seeing my guys. The boys are 38 minutes apart so we can see them both! Keep an eye open for the get together! Check at the top under "Discussion Forum". Hope to see you then.
Hi Navy Moms! I am actually from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. However, there doesn't seem to be many northwestern Wisconsin Navy moms. I am actually closer to Minneapolis than Milwaukee so I thought maybe I would make more connections and be able to attend meet and greets! My son had his PIR on May 31, 2013. He is currently in P'cola on hold for AWS -A School. He graduated aircrew candidate school in July. He flew home this weekend. We dropped him off at MPLS airport this afternoon. It was the first time I have seen him since May 31. The goodbye was just as hard this time. Hoping to make some Navy mom connections here :)
