Midwest Navy Mom, so happy for you that you and your family were able to skype with your sailor for two hours!!

I seem to be hearing less from my son now that he is 'dating' by phone with a girl in Michigan.  But he seems very happy and content with his life.

Man, Amy, that is wonderful news!  I've read some about the nuke training program and talk about tough!  Talk about pressure!  To pass his oral exam is amazing.  Congratulations.

We got to Skype my son for two hours the other day :-) It was so good to see him and enjoy his sense of humor. Two of the Grandmas were over and I was going to show them his Australia pictures on facebook, when my other son took the computer and said, "Let me see something." Then he turned it around and there was our Sailor on Skype! It was so cool. The Grandmas thoroughly enjoyed it.

Hi, I wish I could have made the August get together, but my daughter had to work on her 18th birthday so we ended up celebrating on Saturday instead - steaks on the grill, was very good!

Good news today, my son has completed the Nuke Pipeline! He had his oral board this morning and the text I received from his was his grade followed by 'done!' I'm so happy for him!

Thanks Catherine! My thoughts and prayers for your son as well. And for you, too, actually. :)

Thanks again, JJ, for posting the picture, and Julie for organizing the lunch at Perkins. It was really nice! JJ: the shirt looks awesome! It was centered on there perfectly. :)
