As some of you know, this has been a difficult time for my family and me. I appreciate all the prayers that have been sent my way over the past few months.
"After a long and hard fight with brain cancer, my sister, Iris, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, June 5th, just two months to the day that her husband, Jerry, died suddenly. I was by her side when the good Lord wrapped his arms around her and took her from us."
Now is the time to look toward the future to mend our hearts and be thankful for our friends and family along with each and every day...come rain or shine. For each rain drop brings a tear and every shine beam brings a smile.

My sailor was deployed on a sub for 7 months.  He just returned to home port in Hawaii recently.  We got a phone call from him and he'll be home for about 10 days or so in June!!  So excited!  He said he'll be renting a car this time because he doesn't think he should always be driving his Mama's car which is a VW bug with the license plate of CINN E.  He always took the flowers out of the flower vase when he drove it.  LOL

Mike's Mom I have a son on the Eisenhower.  Last I heard from him they were going to have a port call.  It has been a few days now.  How about you, do you have a sailor out there  with mine?  You could send me a message at my email   lavenjr@gmail.com

Does anyone have a son/daughter on the Eisenhower?
