For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

August, 2015 - We Are Going Back to the USS Theodore Roosevelt
Our August adoptees are deployed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt and do a variety of jobs. There are 35 males and 10 females. Pillowcases are a "GO"!
We received a suggestion from a Dad with a sailor on the TR. Temperatures are @158 degrees. He suggested small fans for berthing areas. MUST BE UL APPROVED!
They requested:
Cliff bars
Protein bars
Instant coffee
Shaving gel
Easy Mac
Pringles
Doritos
Rice Krispie treats
Pretzels
Beef jerky
Cookies
"Anything from home will be appreciated"
Shipping will be the week of August 24.
In one of his emails, the POC said, "Thank you for everything! You will be bringing a big morale boost to this bland boat!"
Come on Moms, let's send these heroes a bunch of love from home!

I forgoy to let you know that I mailed 3 boxes! 2 boxes with snacks and 1 with the rest of the pillowcases and I had 4 cooling towels left in my stash and sent guise since they are where it's really hot!

I'm sorry I've been such a slacker and didn't get this out on time. A package from Smile.Amazon is on the way with Frito's, Doritos, Chips, & my personal favorite Cheetos. It did't allow a gift tag so I could flag it from Molly's. Pat if you could give them a head's up to expect another delivery I'd appreciate it.

The packages must be arriving! I received this email this morning!
I am 2nd Class Petty Officer XXX, I work with 3rd Class Petty Officer XXX. We just wanted to thank you for the care packages you sent to our division. Everyone loves the snacks!!! There are three of us from Oklahoma, including myself and I had to grab the OU pillow case first, lol. Thank you for your support, Boomer Sooner!!!
