Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I will see if I can get more info. Your son is Derik correct? Jeez, even I'm having a hard time keeping track of all the boys names....but pretty cool that we can all keep in touch this way AND keep tabs on the boys.

I know he knows Greg (they did the road trip together from P'cola) so I will pass it along. The last time he bought a car, I went with him and he got a great deal. I'm in finance so I am very pushy for the best price, it helps when I bring out my financial calculator and just ask for the finance manager : ).... so I hope he learned something from that experience so he can apply some of that to this purchase. I will advise him to talk to Greg and Derik. Thanks a bunch!

Hopefully when October rolls around and they get their wings....and "graduate" maybe we will fly out to SD and see the boys. I look forward to meeting your son someday. My son is also looking for a vehicle...hopefully they both find something affordable and reliable.

Reading your posts and the website links have helped me to prepare for the tough emotional road ahead...I think anyways. Wow, looks like some really crazy stuff these guys have to go through. I'm glad your son is back and that part is over for him, and for you. Congratulations...you both made it through!
