Lisa,
So glad you got that first letter!!! I still have the letters my daughter wrote over a year ago!!!

Joanne,
Sent you an email back - hope you like it!!!

Boy we've had some chilly temps here in NC lately. My daughter in OH keeps telling me she's freezing!! Blondie - I sure hope you have nice weather for your special event!!!

Linda,
I'm so happy your going to see your sailor!! How exciting. You and I will both be on our return trip on the same day!!! I'll be coming back from WA!!! Have a very safe and happy trip!

Pat,
Glad to see you're doing ok - I guess there isn't any new news from Jenn?

Will check in with everyone tomorrow and then it's long work days for the rest of the week and weekend. But my contribution this week is brandy slush!!!!!!!

Pat, we frequently miss the snow that Boston enjoys. A storm will come up the coast, dump inches on Boston and head out to sea. Where we get into trouble is if to goes out to sea and then decides to come back to see us. That is a Nor'easter and it dumps many many inches on us! Big trouble. We have few of those.

I'm turning in early. Maybe I can sleep.

Take care,

Dori

Pat, we didn't have snow. The poor turkeys standing in the chilly rain last night acted as if it were snow!

I'm in a good mood ... Yeah! I'm in a good mood ... Yeah! And I really have no special mood to be in a good mood ... Yeah!

Linda, being a list maker is good. You DO have your passport, don't you, and it is up to date, isn't it? Okay you're done. Seriously, you will need only a fraction of what you take. Go to the local library to see if you can find anything on the area. Check on the Internet to see if there are some tours you could take while your daughter is at work. Many years ago my Dad was stationed in Naples and my Granddad came for a visit. He signed up for bus tours. I was lucky because he took me along on a couple. We saw Pompeii, the Amalfi Drive and Sorrento. It was great. Everything coordinated so no fears of getting lost. Keep telling yourself this will be FUN!

Blondie mentioned no underwire bras and slip on shoes. Good advice. Take along slippers for the long flight over and get a neck pillow. Now while flying, get up and move around. This IS important. You want to keep the circulation in your legs going. Every now and then do foot exercises ... sit and rock your foot up and down on the heels. I had a colleague who would go to the back of the plane and do squats when he had a trans-Atlantic flight. Also stretch ... not while sitting in your seat. Your fellow passengers might not appreciate it.

Ok let me know if I can pick up anything for you.

Ok Linda you can do this. Did you know that they have little hand held translators that you can buy. Or apps for your phone that can be helpful. Plan plan plan. That is what I suggest. Do you belong to AAA. You can get a lot of information from them. If not I could probably send you stuff in time.

I posted earlier to say good morning. Something happened and it was not posted.

It is quite chilly today and looks like snow. My husband says it's too early. We'll see.
