Thanks for all the wedding wishes ladies. It was a glorious day.

Anna how's apartment life? Can you tell us what part of the country that you have settled in?

Blondie, I can't keep up with you! Wish I had your energy. I'm still working from home and absolutely LOVE it.

Oleander how does your sailor like Pensacola? We vacation in Perdido Key and just live that area.

Wow, just checked my spam, that's where you all have been hanging out!  LOL  Not a good thing cause I use my emial a lot for work. :(

LadyBluefire my daughter did 5 years on ship and 5 years on land. She says you get use to it and become a minimalist. LOL I have the nickname of the energizer bunny, I didn't include my garden and family needs....or that I put over 5000 miles on my new van in less then a month. we went to Virginia, Columbus Ohio twice, Pittsburgh PA and 3 more trips to Columbus. While working and gardening (I can and freeze) and mowing an acre. I don't sleep much. :)

England, we don't know where yet, I'm sure the kids do but.... They are(were) both Intel and we get info as need to know.  I have to assume since daughter and T are on his orders and it's for 4 years that it will be a base this time.

Oleander - lol. As a girl I can't imagine being on a ship. My husband loved being on the aircraft carriers he was on. Recruiting seems to be a lot of paperwork but also pretty chill from what I saw at our office. Being so close to family will help. They can only recruit for a few years right? Then back to the fleet? LOL @ 98 being an arctic blast!

Anna - not sure I want a 5th kid in the Navy. He loved Top Gun and wants to be "better than Maverick" but if a goal like that encourages him to do his best in school I am all for it!

Blondie - I need a nap after reading all that! Where in England? I lived there for 5 years when my dad was Air Force.

Life here is crazy as ever. Working in a Doctor's office during these times is straining. Things changing constantly from cleaning, to pt. flow and hours, billing/coding.....

Haven't see eldest son, he's in a hot spot. Youngest son has been treating Covid pts. ( 1 clinic and 2 hospitals) so lots of cleaning and distancing....Haven't seen Connor yet! Eldest daughter (with miracle baby) has been working from home, they just sold their condo and moved to a house. Whole basement is ours (Hubby and mine)!  Bedroom, bath, living room, office and deck. Glad  my children all think of me when buying. They even put an apartment size refrigerator down there. But I get all the laundry Hahaha  Youngest daughter (vet) and Husband(active) and Tahlia will put their house up for sale tomorrow. Anyone need a 5 bedroom in Virginia Beach?  Making final arrangements to move to England by the end of the year. Waiting on both Countries to go green and his replacement to arrive on base....Hauled all their trucks to home, had to move guns, we have 1 of their dogs, they think they're taking the other dog, if they can get all the pass ports and physicals done....there's so much hold up!

Glad to see everyone is carrying on.

Hugs to all

Wow, so much going on!

JayDee, Love the Wedding Picture!!!  Glad it went without any problems.

Anna's living in a house now!

Oleander,  Wonderful news, being close to Family is everything!

LadyBluefire,

My daughter wanted to be a pilot (she has her private pilot's license ) but the pilot pipeline is so crowded she could only get Flight Officer.  Good luck to #5!!!!!

Oleander,

Your 400 - 500 miles from our Sailor Son, and after staying with them for three weeks this spring, I've decided I can't do the desert life!!!  Give me the mountains and lush greens!!!  I'm glad your daughter will be near her sister and her family!!

Comment by Oleander on September 1, 2020 at 4:16pm

Hi Ladybluefire - well we'll see how much she likes Recruiting lol.  2 things I know for sure she's going to like are: 1. NOT being on a ship and 2. Being within a mile of her sister, BIL and nephew! The rest will fall into place!

Gorgeous pic JayDee!!!! What a beautiful and handsome group! And I must say, the bride's dress is spectacular -- you must be a very proud mama!!!! Looks like it was a spectacular day and celebration!

Virtual classroom is not esp Q's forte - she's much more of a kinesthetic learner but she's doing ok and will be in a classroom next week. We have several friends who are teachers and boy ... preparing to teach virtually has been a challenge. I can only imagine Jen's challenges!

Well ladies, we must've had an arctic blast come through, it's only 98 here today. Never fear tho..... we have several days of 112 coming up. Mother Nature must be mad at us here in the desert : (

Comment by LadyBluefire on September 1, 2020 at 4:02pm

Anna - now my 5th wants to serve but he wants to be a Navy pilot. I told him he has to do better in math first, lol. He is only 12. 4 kids serving can't be that much harder than 3 serving. My daughter is waiting for C school in FL. She just got off base liberty.

Oleander - my daughter wants to be an RDC for a stint, she surprised herself saying that, I wonder if she still feels that way. This was right after boot camp. Doh, I was mixing up recruiter with RDC but she did mentio wanting to be an RDC. My coffee hasn;t kicked in and I am on pins and nedles hoping SR#3 calls to tell me he is a sailor today.

JayDee - your daughter is lovely!

Oleander,

What wonderful news for Q!!!  You can just never prepare for what Momma Navy will throw at you!!!  Jenn has spent weeks, months with hardly anything to do since all their classes were put on hold.  Then just recently the command decided to do all their classes remotely.  So students can now report to P'cola, spend the first 2 weeks in quarantine but starting their lessons by DVD's.  Then they spend the rest of the time doing remote training.  So Jenn and her crew are busy trying to put all their lessons on disc and such, plus she is helping out the other Aviation School teach a class she took years ago as a student and now has to learn to teach it!!! Plus keep up with her regular work and this new assignment.  She is feeling stretched thin right now!!!!

JayDee,

I love this picture of your girls and their spouses!!!!  The sky looks gorgeous - who would know a hurricane just blew through!!!!  So happy for the newlyweds!!!!  And all your family!!!
