My son has a Navy Diver contract and he is leaving for boot camp on March 9th in Ill.  From what I understand, he will then go to Dive Prep School, and then to Panama City.

Does anyone know any different?

Hey Exxie,

Well what can I stay. He needs to be very strong mentally. It is a very tough program they will weed out the weak ones. The training is tough. Tell him just do it do not think about it. If he wants it he will get it. Pay very close attention to details. I am a big believer in yoga and meditation so I will always teach my son breathing excercises. It helps.  Have to make the water your home, strong swimmer and i mean strong swimmer Good luck

Exxie  Dive Prep is in GL so he will stay there for another 2 months or so.   There they look for sailors who are confindent in the water and commiited to the program.

Hi there!  My son is currently in BC with a Diver contract, scheduled to PIR 2/18/11 and then head to Diver Prep (if all goes according to his Master Plan!).  What things should we be looking forward to?  Looking out for??

Oldest of 4   We have AT&T and had no problem in GL or PC.  But remember they are in buildings that are thick with bricks and alot of phones service is hard to get if they  are in those conditions.  He should be fine in PC.  Hope this helps.
