All....I am in need of some assistance. It may seem a little thing, but it means a great deal to my 4 year old granddaughter. My son will be transfering from the east coast to the west coast this summer. My granddaughter has two little fish that she has had for a couple of years. She is already anixous about the move and wants to make sure her fish go with her.

Has anyone out there had experience moving and taking along fish? Any recommendations or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hey MI Barbara and all,

Even though I'm a wolverine gal myself, I'm very, very proud of MSU and I LOVE Tom Izzo and his beautiful wife Lupe!! Go Spartans!! That the Final Four is in Detroit and MSU has made it to the Championship Game is soooooo sweet.

Go Green!! And as always, go NAVY!! Have a great day everyone! :>D

Yes, thank you Donna, it does help me to understand the tiger cruise process. I appreciate you sharing some many details of this event.

On this upcoming Sunday, I will be meeting with 8 other Navy moms for a local Metro Detroit Meet & Greet!! I'm very excited about it! Ladies, please have a great Navy week.

Hi Donna,

One more tiger cruise question: How far in advance are parents/family made aware of the opportunity for a tiger cruise? I'm curious since this has an effect on airfare to a large degree. Thanks for sharing with all of us.

Hey Donna, your page has some very awesome photos!! Congrats on doing a tiger cruise with your son and I hope we all get to do one with our sons & daughters to the degree allowed with so many in aviation. Thanks for sharing!

Oh by the way, the last time my son and I flew down to Norfolk, our Southwest Air captain was a very young, very handsome former Naval officer and USNA grad who flew P-3's for the Navy. I mention this only because he performed the best take-off and landing I've EVER experienced and I used to serve drinks aboard Northwest Air back in my younger days. ;>) Congratulations to all the Moms who have aviators in their family. In my book they're cool people.

Andrea, wow, your daughter got P3's!! I'm glad to hear she's adjusting and I guess it just goes to show that everyone has the own idea of what is their dream plane or helo. I know you are proud as you should be. Congratulations to both of you.

Sandy, that is awesome that you son is finishing with his P-3 training.

Donna, I look forward to one day doing a tiger cruise. Thanks for sharing.

If they are assigned to a ship that is going to port in Hawaii, then the answer is yes, family member can do the tiger cruise.

Hope-the video is awesome. Thank you sharing it with us. It even showed the Truman carrier (75) that was our son was deployed on and our Tiger Cruise. It was an outstanding experience and the boat is amazing. GO NAVY!

Katie-my son is on a fast attack-they go around looking for errant enemy subs. Here's a link for you to look at for more info:

I really don't know if they get a choice. I think they are assigned a boat & port after sub school. My son's first choice was San Diego (close to home), second choice Hawaii (which he got). We spoke with him last night. He said "Same old, same old" which means he is working hard and everything is OK. Be sure to take a video camera. I'll post my video of OCS graduation from Pensacola when I get a chance and when I figure out how to do it. I make a mistake of sitting higher up in the bleachers and didn't realized that these pillars were going to be in my way. So grab a seat in the front, so you wouldn't have anything in the way. Also, it's hard to figure out where Reggie will be when they march in (unless he tells you ahead of time), so keep the camera rolling. I think the videos are better if you get a light way tripod, mount your camera on it and keep the camera in a single place when they march by (I didn't do). Get extra memory cards (or whatever you use for your camera) ahead of time. The first salute is another important moment. We didn't understand that either but I did manage to sneak in for the whole thing with a close up.
