Thank you all for the prayers and good thoughts for my son while at SERE....he's back safe and sound, if not a little beat up.  Will return to his base tomorrow....needless to say his wife is VERY excited.

Once again, our Navy answers the call no matter where or what it is......makes me so proud. Also praying for everyone there...just awful

Leslie, so glad your hubby is recovering well from his surgery and what a great picture of you and flyboymom. Would like to have the info on identity theft for my kids.....valuable info.

Sheila so happy for your kids.....I can feel your excitement and happiness.

Congratulations Navymominohio and Michelle....so great when our aviators get their choice.

Paymaster, my heart goes out to you and your family over the loss of your daughter's fiance....my prayers are with you all.

So much going on with everyone I know I've missed some people...hard keeping up when you've been a little out of sink on the site.

We're coming to the end of intermediate...maybe a week or so left then will find out of DS gets jet or E-2...either would be just great but E-2 is the 1st choice. Hubby and I are going to Pensacola 1st week in April to celebrate our son's 28th birthday...hard to believe...can't wait to get there!!!!

MM...your granddaughter is absolutely gorgeous.....being a grandparent is the best. My 2 little grandsons are coming for a visit next week......

WOW, wingings, grandchildren, aging parents (thinking of you all who are going through that) blind dogs (we have one that's going blind)...so much going on.

Have a great weekend...Spring is on the way.....you have no idea how huge that is here......

Thank you Leslie for letting everyone know about our Naval Ships all being accounted for in this tsunami! I knew I would be able to find that information here. This is all such a tragedy and my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to all involved!

Congrats Shelia to everything in your family - it seemed such a ways out last year, but it will be here before you know it!!  Lots of good stuff going on with your family!

Congrats Navymominohio & Michelle!!

Okay - thanks for making me tear up Paymaster, it won't be long for me!  Need to share another funny - he kept saying that he was going to get "Palm" leave before deployment and now I just found out that it's actually called "POM" leave LOL - some things never change (but I know he's a good pilot)!!

Leslie & Flyboymom - awesome pic - you look like sisters!!  Where did you get the wings necklace???

This was posted by another mother…I know I fit 5, 6, 8 and 9 to a tee:

You know when your soldier is deployed when

  1. You sleep with your cell phone on your pillow.
  2. 2. You use an entire bottle of his cologne so you can smell him around you.
  3. You get nervous every time the phone rings or you hear a knock at your door.
  4. 4. The shoes he left in the middle of the room are now oddly comforting.
  5. The postal clerk knows you by name.
  6. You buy beef jerky every time you go to the grocery store.
  7. You check your e-mail every 5 minutes, including in the middle of the night.
  8. You have enough priority boxes, packing tape and customs forms for his entire unit.
  9. You have a ton of friends with deployed soldiers you’ve never actually met because they’re all online.
  10. You don’t just tie a yellow ribbon around a tree outside, you time one around your heart.
